Mandwa is a village in Raigad district, Maharashtra, India. It is popular as a weekend beach destination from Mumbai city, mainly because of the direct Ferry services available near Mandwa Beach to and from Mumbai. [1]

Mandwa serves as the changeover point for Ferry services from the state capital of Mumbai and buses bound for the district headquarters at Alibag. [3] It is close to Kihim beach. Mandwa beach lies 6 kilometers from Rewas and close to Mandawa town. [4]

In 2011, the Maharashtra Maritime Board (MMB), proposed to run roll on roll off (RORO) services from Ferry Wharf to Mandwa. [5]

Chondhi is a small village in the Alibag subdistrict of the Raigad district in Maharashtra, India. It is located to the north of Alibag on Alibag-Rewas Road. Chondhi acts as a major market area for the neighboring villages. Nearby attractions include Kihim Beach and Kankeshwar. The language spoken here is Marathi.

Kihim is a small village located to the north of Alibag. Commonly known to people in Mumbai as a weekend getaway, it is accessible via Road and Water. It forms part of the string of beach hamlets along the coast of Alibag taluka collectively called as Hamptons of Mumbai mainly due to the elite property owners, including businessmen, sports persons and Bollywood personalities, in the area.
