Belle Vue was the home of English professional football club Doncaster Rovers from 1922 to 2007. It was located in Doncaster, South Yorkshire. The ground was renowned for having the biggest pitch in the UK, at 110 yards long, and 72 yards wide. In addition to the size of the pitch, it was considered to have one of the best playing surfaces due to the fertile soil, providing a perfect pitch. The ground was affectionately called by fans 'Old Belle Vue' or OBV and had a total capacity of 40,000.

The stadium holds 3,000 people, with a seating capacity of 1,720. The stadium has occasionally hosted youth-level international football matches, including an under-16s match between Wales and Scotland. Recently, as a UEFA Category 2 stadium, it has hosted home European matches of other Welsh clubs whose home grounds did not meet the Category 2 requirements, including those of Bala Town and Connah's Quay Nomads.

Butcher's Arms Ground is a multi-use stadium in Droylsden, Tameside, Greater Manchester, England. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of Droylsden F.C.. The stadium has a capacity of 3,000 people both seated and standing and is nicknamed "The Slaughterhouse" or "Abattoir" by fans. The Butchers reference is celebrated at a designated home game once a year, when the stadium floor is sprinkled with saw dust and fans are invited to wear white overalls and hairnets. During Droylsden's recent F.A. Cup tie against Leyton Orient, broadcast live on ESPN, two fans invaded the pitch at the end of the match dressed as butchers. It has partial or full cover on three sides of the pitch, terracing on four sides and seating along the centre of one side, plus a public house.
Broughton Rangers were founded in 1877. They were one of the twenty-one clubs to meet at the George Hotel, Huddersfield on 29 August 1895 to form the Northern Rugby Football Union. They were originally based in Broughton, Salford. In 1933, they moved out of Salford and into the Manchester district of Gorton and were renamed Belle Vue Rangers in 1946. The original club folded in 1955. In 2005, local businessman, Stefan Hopewell attempted to resurrect the club and now owns the intellectual property to Broughton Rangers and Belle Vue Rangers.

He played at representative level for Great Britain, England and Lancashire, and at club level for Broughton Rangers/Belle Vue Rangers, Huddersfield, St. Helens and Warrington, with whom he won the 1953–54 Challenge Cup, as a wing, i.e. number 2 or 5. and coached at club level for St. Helens and Salford. McCormick is a St Helens R.F.C. Hall of Fame inductee.
