The University of Johannesburg men's basketball team is the basketball team of the sports department of the University of Johannesburg. [1] Several of the team's players belong to the elite of South Africa and have played for the South Africa national basketball team. [2]

AfroBasket 2009 was the 25th FIBA Africa Championship, played under the auspices of the Fédération Internationale de Basketball, the basketball sport governing body, and the African zone thereof.
