Brussels International Exposition (1935) Worlds fair in Brussels, Belgium

The Brussels International Exposition of 1935 was a World's fair held between 27 April and 6 November 1935 on the Heysel Plateau in Brussels (Belgium).

Brussels International 1910

The Brussels International Exposition of 1910 was a World's fair held in Brussels, Belgium, from 23 April to 1 November 1910. This was just thirteen years after Brussels' previous World's fair. It received 13 million visitors, covered 88 hectares and lost 100,000 Belgian Francs.

Liège International (1905)

Exposition Universelle et Internationale de Liège was a world's fair held in Liège from 27 April to 6 November 1905 just 8 years after a Belgian exposition held in Brussels. Intended to show Liege's industrial importance it also marked 75 years of Belgian independence and 40 years of Leopold II's reign.

Albert Dubosq

Albert Émile Clément Dubosq is one of the most prolific Belgian scenographers of the Belle Époque. Between 1890 and 1925 Dubosq decorated 446 theatrical entertainments of virtually every possible kind: ballet, circus, (melo)drama, opera, operetta, pantomime, revue, and vaudeville. Dubosq is furthermore one of the few scenic painters of his generation to have left a substantial sample of his art, namely twenty-one (near-)complete sets. Comprising Europe's largest holding of historical decors, the hundreds of flats and drops of the ‘Dubosq’ collection have survived at the Schouwburg of Kortrijk since 1920.
