Freddy Thielemans was a Belgian socialist politician who was the mayor of the City of Brussels from 2001 to 2013, and previously also for a period in 1994.

Paul Danblon was a Belgian composer, opera director and administrator, and journalist. He was one of the pioneers of scientific journalism on RTBF. In 1954, after graduating in chemistry from the Université Libre de Bruxelles, Danblon joined the RTBF current events programme, Carnets de l'Actualité. Baron Étienne Cerexhe was a Belgian judge and academic. He was a member of the Belgian Senate from 1985 to 1987, and the Chamber of Representatives from 1988 to 1991. In 2009, Cerexhe was knighted by King Albert II.
