The 1954 Syracuse Grand Prix was a Formula One race, held on 11 April at the Syracuse Circuit in Sicily. The race was won by Giuseppe Farina driving a Ferrari 625. [1] [2]

One by Viatcheslav Ekimov, two by Djamolidine Abdoujaparov who also won the Green Jersey and two stage wins by Konyshev. His victory in stage 17 also made him the last rider for the Soviet Union to win a Tour de France stage.

The Greek theatre of Syracuse lies on the south slopes of the Temenite hill, overlooking the modern city of Syracuse in southeastern Sicily. It was first built in the 5th century BC, rebuilt in the 3rd century BC and renovated again in the Roman period. Today, it is a part of the Unesco World Heritage Site of "Syracuse and the Rocky Necropolis of Pantalica".

Despite its abandoned state, it remains one of the most beautiful locations in the world, offering the most grandiose and picturesque spectacle that there is.

The 8th Syracuse Grand Prix was a motor race, run to Formula One rules, held on 13 April 1958 at Syracuse Circuit, Sicily. The race was run over 60 laps of the circuit, and was won by Italian driver Luigi Musso in a Ferrari Dino 246, who also took pole position and fastest lap.

The 7th Syracuse Grand Prix was a motor race, run to Formula One rules, held on 7 April 1957 at Syracuse Circuit, Sicily. The race was run over 80 laps of the circuit, and was won by British driver Peter Collins in a Lancia-Ferrari D50, who also took pole position. Stirling Moss, driving a Vanwall, set fastest lap.

1952 Syracuse Grand Prix Motor car race

The 2nd Syracuse Grand Prix was a non-championship Formula Two motor race held in Syracuse, Sicily on 16 March 1952. Alberto Ascari, starting from pole, headed teammates Piero Taruffi and Giuseppe Farina in a Scuderia Ferrari 1-2-3. Luigi Villoresi set fastest lap in another works Ferrari.

1953 Syracuse Grand Prix Motor car race

The 3rd Syracuse Grand Prix was a non-championship Formula Two motor race held in Syracuse, Sicily on 22 March 1953. The race was won by Emmanuel de Graffenried in a Maserati A6GCM. Louis Chiron was second in an O.S.C.A. Tipo 20 and Rodney Nuckey third in a Cooper T23-Bristol. Alberto Ascari started from pole and set fastest lap but retired with mechanical failure, as did every other works Ferrari, in contrast to last year's 1-2-3 walkover.
