1977 Mid Glamorgan County Council election

The 1977 Mid Glamorgan County Council election was held in May 1977 and were the second elections to Mid Glamorgan County Council, electing 85 councillors. [1] It was preceded by the 1973 election and followed by the 1981 election.

South Glamorgan County Council

South Glamorgan County Council was the local government authority that administered the county of South Glamorgan, Wales from its creation in 1974 till its abolition in 1996.

Glamorgan County Council was established in 1889 together with the administrative county of Glamorganshire under the Local Government Act 1888. The first elections to the council were held in January 1889. The council was abolished under the Local Government Act 1972 on 1 April 1974. It was replaced by Mid Glamorgan County Council, South Glamorgan County Council and West Glamorgan County Council.

The first election to the Bridgend County Borough Council was held on 4 May 1995. It was followed by the 1999 election. On the same day there were elections to the other 21 local authorities in Wales and community councils in Wales.

The 1989 Mid Glamorgan County Council election was held in May 1989 and was the fifth full election to Mid Glamorgan County Council. It was preceded by the 1985 election and followed by the 1993 election.

The first election to Mid Glamorgan County Council and was held in April 1973. It was followed by the 1977 election.

Canton is the name of an electoral ward in the west of the city of Cardiff, Wales, which covers its namesake community, Canton. The ward elects three county councillors to the County Council of the City and County of Cardiff.

Baruc (electoral ward)

Baruc is the name of an electoral ward in Barry, Vale of Glamorgan, Wales. It covers the southern area of the town, including Barry Island, Cold Knap and the area around Romilly Park.

Stanwell is an electoral ward in Penarth, Vale of Glamorgan, Wales. It elects two county councillors to the Vale of Glamorgan Council and three town councillors to Penarth Town Council.

The 1981 Mid Glamorgan County Council election was held in May 1981 and were the third elections to Mid Glamorgan County Council, electing 85 councillors. They were preceded by the 1977 elections and followed by the 1985 elections.

The 1985 Mid Glamorgan County Council election were held in May 1985 and were the fourth full elections to Mid Glamorgan County Council, electing 85 councillors. They were preceded by the 1981 elections and followed by the 1989 elections.

Mid Glamorgan County Council was the local authority administering the Welsh county of Mid Glamorgan between its creation in 1974 and its abolition in 1996.

The 1973 South Glamorgan County Council election was the first election to South Glamorgan County Council and was held in April 1973. It was followed by the 1977 election.

Central (Cardiff electoral ward) Electoral ward in Wales

Central was the name of an original electoral ward in the centre of the county borough and, from 1905, city of Cardiff, Wales. It elected representatives to the Cardiff County Borough Council and, from 1974, South Glamorgan County Council. The ward ceased to exist in 1996.

The 1973 Cardiff City Council election was held on Thursday 10 May 1973 to elect councillors to the new Cardiff District Council in Cardiff, Wales. It took place on the same day as other district council elections in the United Kingdom.

The second election to West Glamorgan County Council and was held in May 1977. It was preceded by the 1973 election and followed by the 1981 election.
