The 1990 Wales rugby union tour of Namibia was a series of rugby union matches played between 23 May and 9 June 1990 in Namibia by the Wales national rugby union team. It was the first Welsh tour of Namibia and they won all six matches. [1]

The Namibia national rugby union team represents Namibia in men's international rugby union competitions nicknamed the Welwitschias, are a tier-two nation in the World Rugby tier system, and have participated in the six Rugby World Cup competitions since their first appearance in 1999. They are governed by the Namibia Rugby Union.

Stephen Michael Jones is a Welsh rugby union coach and former player who played primarily at fly-half. He played more than 100 times for Wales and six times for the British & Irish Lions.

Mark Alun Jones is a Welsh dual-code international professional rugby union and rugby league rugby player who played in the 1980s and 1990s. He played representative level rugby union for Wales, and at club level for Tredegar RFC, Tredegar Ironsides RFC, Neath RFC, Ebbw Vale RFC, Pontypool RFC (2001–03), Aberavon RFC, as a flanker, i.e. number 6 or 7, or number eight, and representative level rugby league (RL) for Great Britain and Wales, and at club level for Hull F.C. and Warrington, as a prop, or second-row, i.e. number 8 or 10, or, 11 or 12.

The 1991 Ireland rugby union tour of Namibia. The Ireland national rugby union team made their first and, to date, only visit to Namibia in 1991. Richard Wallace made his full international debut in the first test game. Ireland played four matches, winning twice against Namibia B but losing both capped matches with the Namibia national rugby union team. The tour has been dubbed one of the most embarrassing episodes in Irish rugby history.

The back row forward played for Cross Keys RFC, Newport RFC and Newport Gwent Dragons in Wales before joining Bath in England in 2016. He joined present club Cardiff in 2022.
Aled Williams is a Welsh former international rugby union player who made two appearances for the Wales national team, both as a replacement. He played in the top division of Welsh club rugby for Swansea RFC and Bridgend RFC between 1983 and 1997.
