The final was played on 25 April 1993 at MacDonagh Park in Nenagh, between St Kieran's College and Our Lady's College, in what was their first ever meeting in the final. [4] St Kieran's College won the match by 3–15 to 1–10 to claim a record-breaking 12th Croke Cup title overall and a second successive title. [5] [6]

The All-Ireland Post-Primary Schools Croke Cup, is an annual inter-schools hurling competition organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association. It is the highest inter-schools hurling competition in Ireland, and has been contested every year, except on two occasions, since 1944.
The 1959 Croke Cup was the eighth staging of the Croke Cup since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1944. The competition ran from 15 March to 19 April 1959.
The 1966 Croke Cup was the 15th staging of the Croke Cup since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1944. The competition ran from 3 April to 1 May 1966.
