The 1994 Trans America Athletic Conference Baseball Tournament was held at Claude Smith Field on the campus of Mercer University in Macon, Georgia. This was the sixteenth tournament championship held by the Trans America Athletic Conference, in its sixteenth year of existence. Southeastern Louisiana won their second tournament championship and earned the conference's automatic bid to the 1994 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. [2]
The top two finishers from each division by conference winning percentage qualified for the tournament, with the top seed from one division playing the second seed from the opposite in the first round. Florida Atlantic was not eligible and did not play games that counted in the conference standings as it was their first year in the league.

The 1981 Trans America Athletic Conference Baseball Tournament was held at Hunter Field on the campus of Hardin–Simmons University in Abilene, Texas from April 30 through May 2. This was the third tournament championship held by the Trans America Athletic Conference, in its third year of existence. Mercer won their second tournament championship.
Kevin Cooney is an American former college baseball coach who was the head coach at Montclair State from 1984–1987 and Florida Atlantic from 1988–2008. Under Cooney, the teams combined to appear in 11 NCAA Tournaments, including six in Division I. Montclair State won the Division III National Championship in 1987. Individually, Cooney was named the TAAC Coach of the Year in 1999.
