The 2017 ASUN Conference Baseball Tournament was held at Melching Field at Conrad Park on the campus of Stetson University in DeLand, Florida from May 24 through 27. Third seeded Florida Gulf Coast won their first championship and claimed the ASUN Conference's automatic bid to the 2017 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. [2] [3] [4] [5] [6]

This was the conference's first baseball tournament held under its current "ASUN" brand name, which was adopted at the start of the 2016–17 school year. [7]

Format and seeding

The 2017 tournament was a double-elimination tournament in which the top six conference members participated. Seeds were determined based on conference winning percentage from the round-robin regular season.

East Tennessee State won their first tournament championship and claimed the Atlantic Sun Conference's automatic bid to the 2013 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. The Buccaneers joined the conference in 2005.

Kennesaw State won their first tournament championship and claimed the Atlantic Sun Conference's automatic bid to the 2014 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament.

The 2015 Atlantic Sun Conference Baseball Tournament was at Swanson Stadium on the campus of Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, Florida from May 20 through 23. The 2016–17 Florida Gulf Coast Eagles men's basketball team represented Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) in the 2016–17 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. FGCU played their home games at Alico Arena in Fort Myers, Florida and were led by fourth-year head coach Joe Dooley as members of the Atlantic Sun Conference. They finished the regular season 26–8, 12–2 in ASUN play to win the regular season championship. As the No. 1 seed in the ASUN Tournament, they defeated Stetson, Kennesaw State, and North Florida to win the tournament championship. As a result, they received the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament where they lost in the first round to Florida State.

2016–17 North Florida Ospreys mens basketball team American college basketball season

The 2016–17 North Florida Ospreys men's basketball team represented the University of North Florida during the 2016–17 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. They were led by eighth–year head coach Matthew Driscoll and played their home games at UNF Arena on the university's campus in Jacksonville, Florida as members of the Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN). They finished the season 15–19, 8–6 in ASUN play to finish in third place. As the No. 3 seed in the ASUN Tournament, they defeated Jacksonville and Lipscomb before losing to Florida Gulf Coast in the championship game.

The 2017 ASUN Women's Basketball Tournament was the 31st edition of the ASUN Conference championship. It took place from March 3, 8 and 12, 2017 in several arenas. Florida Gulf Coast won the tournament and received an automatic trip to the NCAA Women's Tournament.

The 2017 ASUN Men's Basketball Tournament was the conference postseason tournament for the ASUN Conference. The tournament marked the 38th year the league conducted a postseason tournament. The tournament was held February 27, March 2 and 5, 2017 at campus sites as top seeds host each round. The season marked the 39th season of ASUN Conference basketball, and also the first under the conference's current branding with the ASUN name.

2017–18 Florida Gulf Coast Eagles mens basketball team American college basketball season

The 2017–18 Florida Gulf Coast Eagles men's basketball team represented Florida Gulf Coast University in the 2017–18 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Eagles were led by fifth-year head coach Joe Dooley and played their home games at Alico Arena in Fort Myers, Florida as members of the Atlantic Sun Conference. They finished the season 23–12, 12–2 in ASUN play to win the ASUN regular season championship. In the ASUN Tournament, they defeated USC Upstate and North Florida to advance to the championship game where they lost to Lipscomb. As a regular season conference champion who failed to win their conference tournament, they received an automatic bid to the National Invitation Tournament where they lost in the First Round to Oklahoma State.

The 2017 ASUN Conference men's soccer season was the 40th season of men's varsity soccer in the conference. The regular season began on August 25, 2017 and ended on October 28, 2017. The regular season culminated with the 2017 ASUN Men's Soccer Tournament, which was held from November 3–11, 2017. The tournament determined the conference's tournament champion, and automatic berth into the 2017 NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Tournament.

The 2018 ASUN Conference Baseball Tournament was held at Harmon Stadium on the campus of the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, FL from May 23 through 26. As the winner of the tournament for the league-best eighth time, Stetson claimed the ASUN Conference's automatic bid to the 2018 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament.

The 2019 ASUN Conference Baseball Tournament was held at Melching Field at Conrad Park, home field of the Stetson Hatters baseball team in DeLand, Florida from May 22 through 25. The winner of the tournament, Liberty, claimed the ASUN Conference's automatic bid to the 2019 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament.

The 2020 ASUN Conference Baseball Tournament was scheduled to be held at Swanson Stadium, home field of the Florida Gulf Coast Eagles baseball team in Fort Myers, Florida from May 20 through 23. The winner of the tournament would have claimed the ASUN Conference's automatic bid to the 2020 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. On March 12, 2020, the NCAA cancelled all winter and spring sports championships due to the coronavirus pandemic, thus cancelling the tournament.
