The 2015 Atlantic Sun Conference Baseball Tournament was at Swanson Stadium on the campus of Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, Florida from May 20 through 23. Lipscomb won their second tournament title and claimed the Atlantic Sun Conference's automatic bid to the 2015 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. [2] [3]

Format and seeding

The 2015 tournament will be a double-elimination tournament in which the top six conference finishers will participate. For the first time, Northern Kentucky was eligible for the event, despite not fully completing its reclassification from Division II. [4] However, the Norse failed to qualify for the tournament.

Jonathan Allison was named Tournament Most Valuable Player. The senior outfielder for Lipscomb recorded six hits and four RBI over four games. [3]

Atlantic Coast Conference American collegiate athletics conference

The Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) is a collegiate athletic conference located in the eastern United States. Headquartered in Greensboro, North Carolina, the ACC's fifteen member universities compete in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA)'s Division I. ACC football teams compete in the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision. The ACC sponsors competition in twenty-five sports with many of its member institutions held in high regard nationally. Kennesaw State Owls

The Kennesaw State Owls fields 17 varsity athletics teams, competing for Kennesaw State University. After spending ten years in Division II's Peach Belt Conference, the university fully transitioned to Division I status in the National Collegiate Athletic Association at the beginning of the 2009–10 season. All of Kennesaw State's sports teams compete in the ASUN Conference, except for the football team, which is an associate member of the Big South Conference. The school mascot is Scrappy the Owl.

The Florida Atlantic Owls men's basketball team represents Florida Atlantic University and competes in Conference USA of NCAA Division I college basketball. Their home games are played on the Abessinio Court in the FAU Arena on the school's Boca Raton, Florida campus. Their head coach is Dusty May, who was hired on March 22, 2018. The Owls have appeared in the NCAA Tournament one time, in 2002 while a member of the Atlantic Sun Conference. The Owls joined Conference USA in 2013 as part of the NCAA conference realignment.

Florida Gators baseball Baseball team of the University of Florida

The Florida Gators baseball team represents the University of Florida in the sport of baseball. Florida competes in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA), and the Eastern Division of the Southeastern Conference (SEC). They play their home games in Florida Ballpark on the university's Gainesville, Florida campus, and are currently led by head coach Kevin O'Sullivan. In the 105-season history of the Florida baseball program, the team has won 15 SEC championships and has appeared in 12 College World Series tournaments. The Gators won their first national championship in 2017.

Jacksonville Dolphins

The Jacksonville Dolphins are the intercollegiate athletics teams that represent Jacksonville University, located in Jacksonville, Florida. The Dolphins participate in NCAA Division I athletics, and are primarily members of the Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN). Some teams in sports that are not sponsored by the ASUN play in other conferences. The men's lacrosse team is a member of the Southern Conference, and the men's and women's rowing teams are in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference.

Mercer Bears

The Mercer Bears are the athletic teams of Mercer University in Macon, Georgia, United States. Mercer is the only private university in Georgia with an NCAA Division I athletic program and fields teams in eight men's and nine women's sports. The university competes in the Southern Conference for most sports. In 2013, the football team competed in the Pioneer Football League.

North Florida Ospreys

The North Florida Ospreys are the athletic teams of the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Florida. The Ospreys compete in the ASUN Conference in NCAA Division I. UNF became a full-fledged member of Division I in 2009; previously, the Ospreys were members of the Sunshine State Conference and Peach Belt Conference in NCAA Division II. UNF fields teams in seven men's sports and ten women's sports.

Florida Gulf Coast Eagles

The Florida Gulf Coast Eagles refer to the fifteen sports teams representing Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, Florida in intercollegiate athletics, including men and women's basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, and tennis; women's-only: softball, swimming and diving, indoor volleyball, and beach volleyball; and men's-only: baseball. The Eagles compete in the NCAA Division I and are members of the ASUN Conference (ASUN). FGCU is also notable as the youngest institution competing in NCAA Division I, having been officially founded in 1991 and started classes in 1997. Their mascot is Azul the Eagle.

The 2011 NCAA Division I baseball season, play of college baseball in the United States organized by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at the Division I level, began on February 18, 2011. The season progressed through the regular season, many conference tournaments and championship series, and concluded with the 2011 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament and 2011 College World Series. The College World Series consisted of the eight remaining teams in the NCAA Tournament. Although it was held in its annual location of Omaha, Nebraska, it was played at the newly constructed TD Ameritrade Park for the first time. It concluded on June 29, 2011, with the final game of the best of three championship series. South Carolina defeated Florida two games to none to claim their second championship.

North Florida Ospreys mens basketball

The North Florida Ospreys represent the University of North Florida (UNF) in men's college basketball. The Ospreys compete in the ASUN Conference (A-Sun) in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). They play home games at UNF Arena on the school's campus in Jacksonville.

The 2010 Atlantic Sun Conference Baseball Tournament was held at Ken Dugan Field at Stephen Lee Marsh Stadium on the campus of Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN from May 25 through 28. Mercer won its fourth tournament championship, and first since 1983, to earn the Atlantic Sun Conference's automatic bid to the 2010 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament.

The 2013 Atlantic Sun Conference Baseball Tournament was held at Melching Field at Conrad Park on the campus of Stetson University in DeLand, FL from May 22 through 25. East Tennessee State won their first tournament championship and claimed the Atlantic Sun Conference's automatic bid to the 2013 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. The Buccaneers joined the conference in 2005.

The 2008 Atlantic Sun Conference Baseball Tournament was held at Melching Field at Conrad Park on the campus of Stetson University in DeLand, Florida from May 21 through 25. Lipscomb won its first tournament championship to earn the Atlantic Sun Conference's automatic bid to the 2008 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. Lipscomb joined the conference prior to the 2004 season.

The 2015 Atlantic Sun Men's Basketball Tournament was the 37th edition of the Atlantic Sun Conference Championship. It took place from March 3 through March 8, 2015 on campus sites with the higher-seeded school hosting each game throughout the championship. The North Florida Ospreys won their first Atlantic Sun Tournament championship, earning an automatic bid to the 2015 NCAA Tournament.

2015–16 North Florida Ospreys mens basketball team American college basketball season

The 2015–16 North Florida Ospreys men's basketball team represented the University of North Florida during the 2015–16 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Ospreys were led by seventh-year head coach Matthew Driscoll and played their home games at UNF Arena on the university's campus in Jacksonville, Florida as members of the Atlantic Sun Conference (A-Sun).

The 2015 Atlantic Sun Conference Men's Soccer Tournament, the 37th edition of the tournament, determined the Atlantic Sun Conference's automatic berth into the 2015 NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Championship.

The 2016 Atlantic Sun Conference Baseball Tournament was held at Ken Dugan Field at Stephen Lee Marsh Stadium on the campus of Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee from May 25 through 28. Sixth-seeded Stetson won their seventh tournament championship and claimed the Atlantic Sun Conference's automatic bid to the 2016 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament.

The 2017 Atlantic Coast Conference Baseball Tournament was held from May 23 through May 28 at Louisville Slugger Field in Louisville, Kentucky. The annual tournament determines the conference champion of the Division I Atlantic Coast Conference for college baseball. The tournament champion receives the league's automatic bid to the 2017 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. This was the last of 19 athletic championship events held by the conference in the 2016–17 academic year.

The 2017 ASUN Conference men's soccer season was the 40th season of men's varsity soccer in the conference. The regular season began on August 25, 2017 and ended on October 28, 2017. The regular season culminated with the 2017 ASUN Men's Soccer Tournament, which was held from November 3–11, 2017. The tournament determined the conference's tournament champion, and automatic berth into the 2017 NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Tournament.

The 2017–18 ASUN Conference men's basketball season with practices in October 2017, followed by the start of the 2017–18 NCAA Division I men's basketball season in November. Conference play began in January 2018 and concluded in February 2018. The season marked the 40th season of ASUN Conference basketball.
