The OFC Nations Cup is an international association football tournament held among the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) member nations. It was held every two years from 1996 to 2004; before 1996 there were two other tournaments held at irregular intervals, under the name Oceania Nations Cup. No competition was held in 2006, but in the 2008 edition, which also acted as a qualification tournament for the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup and for a play-off for the 2010 FIFA World Cup, the New Zealand national football team emerged as winners.

It acted originally as the qualifying competition for the 2015 World Men's Handball Championship, securing one vacancy for the World Championship. The spot was taken away by the IHF on 8 July 2014.

Entered nations were Australia, Cook Islands and the New Zealand. Australia won the right to play in the 2005 World Men's Handball Championship in Tunisia.
The 2008 Oceania Handball Championship was the sixth edition of the Oceania Handball Nations Cup, which took place in Wellington, New Zealand from 7 to 10 April 2008. Entered nations were Australia, Cook Islands, New Caledonia and New Zealand. Although New Caledonia won the tournament, they are ineligible to go to the 2009 World Men's Handball Championship as they are a French colony. Australia won the right to represent Oceania by coming second.

The 2017 Oceania Women's Handball Champions Cup was the first since 2010 and first ever held in Australia. It was held at Geelong, Victoria and was held in conjunction with the 2017 Australian Handball Club Championship.
