The Oceania Continent Handball Federation (OCHF) is the governing body for the Olympic sport of Handball in Oceania. It is affiliated to the International Handball Federation (IHF).
The 2009 World Women's Handball Championship took place from 5 to 20 December 2009 in China. It was the 19th edition of the World Women's Handball Championship and the second that took place outside of Europe.
The 2011 World Women's Handball Championship, the 20th event hosted by the International Handball Federation, was held in Brazil from 2 to 18 December 2011.
The 2015 World Men's Handball Championship was the 24th staging of the World Men's Handball Championship, organised by the International Handball Federation (IHF). The final tournament was held for the first time in Qatar, from 15 January to 1 February 2015. The Qatari bid was selected over those of Norway, Poland and France after a vote by the IHF Council on 27 January 2011, in Malmö, Sweden. This is the third time that the World Championship was hosted in the Middle East And North Africa, after Egypt in 1999 and Tunisia in 2005.

The 2019 IHF World Women's Handball Championship, the 24th event hosted by the International Handball Federation, was held in Japan from 30 November to 15 December 2019.
The Oceania Youth Handball Championship is an Under 19 for Boys and Under 18 for Girls handball tournament organised by the Oceania Continent Handball Federation. The winners of these competition qualify for the IHF Men's Youth World Championship and IHF Women's Youth World Championship respectively.
The 2015 IHF Men's Junior World Championship was the 20th edition of the tournament and held at Brazil from 19 July to 1 August 2015. The decision to select Brazil as the host was announced 1 August 2014. France won their first title by defeating Denmark 26–24 in the final.
The 1998 Oceania Junior Men's Handball Championship, was the first official competition for junior men's national handball teams from Oceania. It was held from December 11–12, 1998 in Mittagong, New South Wales, Australia. It also acted as the qualifying competition for the 1999 IHF Men's Junior World Championship, securing one Vacancy for the World Championship.
The 1997 Oceania Junior Women's Handball Championship, was the first official competition for junior women's national handball teams from Oceania. It was held from December 11–12, 1998 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. It also acted as the qualifying competition for the 1997 IHF Women's Junior World Championship, securing one Vacancy for the World Championship.
The 2021 IHF World Men's Handball Championship will be the 27th event hosted by the International Handball Federation and held in Egypt from 13 to 31 January 2021.
The 2009 Oceania Women's Handball Championship was the fourth edition of the Oceania Handball Nations Cup, which took place in Brisbane, Australia from 25 to 30 May 2009. Australia won the right represent Oceania in the World Cup.
The Sydney University Handball Club is a handball team from the University of Sydney from Sydney, Australia. They are five times Men's National Champions, seven times Men's Oceania Champions and qualified for seven IHF Super Globe competitions. The men's team has won the State Championship eleven times. The women's team has also won the State Championship nine times.
The 2021 World Women's Handball Championship, the 25th event hosted by the International Handball Federation, will be held in Spain from 2 to 19 December 2021. On 18 October 2018, at a congress in Doha, Qatar, the IHF announced that the World Championship would be expanded from 24 teams to 32 teams from 2021 onwards. The Netherlands will be the defending champions after winning for the first time in 2019.
The 2018 Men's Oceania Handball Challenge Trophy is to be held at the L'Arene du Sud, New Caledonia between 10–15 June 2018.
The 2019 Women's Oceania Handball Challenge Trophy was held in New Caledonia from 11 to 16 August 2019.
The 2019 Women's Oceania Youth Handball Championship was held in New Caledonia from 11 to 16 August 2019.
The 2025 IHF World Men's Handball Championship, will be the 29th event hosted by the International Handball Federation. It will be held in Croatia, Denmark and Norway in January 2025.
The 2027 IHF World Men's Handball Championship, will be the 30th event hosted by the International Handball Federation. It will take place in Germany in January 2027.
The 2027 World Women's Handball Championship, the 28th event hosted by the International Handball Federation, will take place in Hungary in 2027. It will be the main qualifying event for the women's handball tournament of the 2028 Summer Olympics.
