Rwanda Country in Africa

Rwanda, officially the Republic of Rwanda, is a country in Central and East Africa and one of the smallest countries on the African mainland. Located a few degrees south of the Equator, Rwanda is bordered by Uganda, Tanzania, Burundi and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Rwanda is in the African Great Lakes region and is highly elevated; its geography is dominated by mountains in the west and savanna to the east, with numerous lakes throughout the country. The climate is temperate to subtropical, with two rainy seasons and two dry seasons each year.

Prime Minister of Rwanda

This article lists the Prime Ministers of Rwanda since the formation of the post in 1961, to the present day. A total of eleven people have served in the post. The current Prime Minister of Rwanda is Édouard Ngirente, who took office on 30 August 2017.

Pierre-Célestin Rwigema is a Rwandan politician previously associated with the moderate faction of the Republican Democratic Movement (MDR) party. He was Prime Minister of Rwanda from 1995–2000 and Education Minister from 1994–1995. When he was sworn in as Prime Minister he pledged to reunite his then ethnically torn country.
