Muhammad Hussain Inoki was a Japanese professional wrestler, martial artist, politician, and promoter of professional wrestling and mixed martial arts. He was best known by the ring name Antonio Inoki, a homage to fellow professional wrestler Antonino Rocca. Inoki was a twelve-time professional wrestling world champion, notably being the first IWGP Heavyweight Champion and the first Asian WWF Heavyweight Champion – a reign not officially recognized by WWE.

The BBC Sports Personality of the Year is an awards ceremony that takes place annually in December. Devised by Paul Fox in 1954, it originally consisted of just one, the BBC Sports Personality of the Year Award. Several new awards have been introduced, and currently eight awards are presented. The first awards to be added were the Team of the Year and Overseas Personality awards, which were introduced in 1960. A Lifetime Achievement Award was first given in 1995 and again in 1996, and has been presented annually since 2001. It was presented by Gary Lineker and formed part of a public vote to determine a special Golden Sports Personality of the Year. That year Steve Rider and Martyn Smith wrote a book reflecting on the 50-year history of the award and the programme. The event was held outside London for the first time in 2006, when tickets were made available to the public.

Eleni Chatziliadou is a Greek karateka won the gold medal in the women's kumite +68 kg event at the 2018 World Karate Championships held in Madrid, Spain. In the same year, she also won a silver medal at the 2018 Mediterranean Games and at 2018 European Karate Championships. In 2019, she won the silver medal in the women's kumite +68 kg event at the 2019 European Games held in Minsk, Belarus. She took the fifth place in the women's kumite +68 kg event at the 2021 Karate 1 Premier League in Lisbon, Portugal. As an athlete member of Karate Club Bushido Bonn, Bonn, represented the Germany, she won the bronze medal at the 2017 Karate1 Premier League held in Rotterdam. She won the bronze medal at the 2021 European Karate Championships held in Poreč, Croatia. Due she had some injury problems and missed a series of events, she did not qualify in being in the athletes of Greece at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.
