The European Karate Championships are organised by the European Karate Federation each year.
The 2008 European Karate Championships, the 43rd edition, were held at the Saku Suurhall in Tallinn, Estonia from 2 May to 4 2008. A total of 509 karateka, 329 male and 180 female athletes, from 42 countries participated at the event.
The 2009 European Karate Championships, the 44th edition, were held at the Dom Sportova in Zagreb, Croatia from 8 to 10 May 2009. A total of 479 competitors participated at the event.
The 21st European Athletics Junior Championships were held between 21 and 24 July 2011 in the Kadriorg Stadium in Tallinn, Estonia.
The 2006 World Karate Championships are the 18th edition of the World Karate Championships, and were held in Tampere, Finland from October 12 to October 15, 2006.
The 2013 European Karate Championships, the 48th edition, were held in Budapest, Hungary from 9 to 12 May 2013. A total of 497 competitors from 45 countries participated at the event.

The 2018 World Karate Championships were the 24th edition of the World Karate Championships, and were held in Madrid, Spain from November 6 to November 11, 2018.
The 2019 European Athletics U23 Championships were the 12th edition of the biennial athletics competition between European athletes under the age of twenty-three. It was held in Gävle, Sweden from 11 to 14 July.
The 2021 World Para Athletics European Championships was a track and field competition for athletes with a disability open to International Paralympic Committee (IPC) affiliated countries within Europe, plus Azerbaijan, Israel and a refugee team with one athlete. This was the 7th edition of the event. This was also the first time that the event was held in Poland. Around 670 athletes competed at the event.
The 2019 European Karate Championships were the 54th edition of the European Karate Championships, and were held in Guadalajara, Spain from 28 to 31 May 2019.
The 2021 European Karate Championships was the 56th edition of the European Karate Championships and 3rd European Para Karate Championships, and was held in Poreč, Croatia from 19 to 23 May 2021.
