The 2023 FIA European Rallycross Championship was the 48th season of the FIA European Rallycross Championship. The championship consisted of three classes: RX1 and RX3, as well as the RX2e support series for the FIA World Rallycross Championship. [1]
The championship began on 29 April at the Nyirád Racing Center in Hungary, and ended on 20 August at Estering in Germany. Anton Marklund won the RX1 championship for the third time. Damian Litwinowicz won his first RX3 championship. Nils Andersson won his first RX2e championship.
On 7 December 2022, the provisional 2023 calendar was announced during the FIA World Motorsport Council decisions. [2] A calendar update was issued on 3 March 2023. [3]

Johan David Kristoffersson is a Swedish racecar driver. He is a six time World Rallycross Champion having won the FIA World Rallycross Championship in 2017, 2018, 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023. In 2018 he won a record breaking 11 out of 12 events in the championship. He is the son of former racing driver and Kristoffersson Motorsport (KMS) team owner Tommy Kristoffersson. He also won the Superstars Series championship in 2012, the same year in which he claimed the Scandinavian Touring Car Championship and Porsche Carrera Cup Scandinavia titles.
The FIA World Rallycross Championship is a rallycross series organised by the FIA in conjunction with series promoter Rallycross Promoter GmbH. From the inaugural season in 2014 to 2020, IMG Motorsport fulfilled the role of promoter.

Nyirád Racing Center is a motorsport race track situated in the village of Nyirád, in Veszprém County, Hungary. It is one of the most traditional tracks in Central Europe and has hosted events in the FIA World Rallycross Championship, FIA European Rallycross Championship and European Autocross Championship, as well national championship races and amateur competitions.
