The 2023 Baseball5 European Championship was an international baseball5 tournament organized by the WBSC Europe. The championship was held from 7 to 11 November 2023, in the Lithuanian Sports Complex in Druskininkai, Lithuania and was contested between 13 national teams. [1]
Hosts Lithuania won the tournament, beating France in the final 2 sets to 0, in a replay of the 2020 final (won by France). Spain finished third defeating the Netherlands 2 sets to 1 in the bronze medal game. [2]
Lithuania and France qualified for second time in a row to the 2024 Baseball5 World Cup to be held in the Central Harbourfront Event Space in Hong Kong. [3]

The World Baseball Softball Confederation Europe, known as WBSC Europe, was established on February 10, 2018, during a Congress of the Confederation of European Baseball and the European Softball Federation in Val d’Europe, France. the establishment of WBSC Europe followed the historic merger of the Confederation of European Baseball (CEB) and the European Softball Federation (ESF). As of September 2022, WBSC Europe counts 40 members for baseball and 39 for softball.
The WBSC Americas, formerly known as Pan American Baseball Confederation, is the governing body of baseball and softball within the Americas.
The WBSC World Rankings is a ranking system for national teams in baseball, softball, and baseball5. The teams of the member nations of the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC), baseball's world governing body, are ranked based on their tournament results with the most successful teams being ranked highest. A point system is used, with points being awarded based on the results of WBSC-recognized international tournaments. Under the existing system, rankings are based on a team's performance over the last four years, with major international tournaments awarded a higher weighting compared to minor international and continental tournaments.
World Baseball Softball Confederation is the world governing body for the sports of baseball, softball, and Baseball5. It was established in 2013 by the merger of the International Baseball Federation (IBAF) and International Softball Federation (ISF), the former world governing bodies for baseball and softball, respectively. Under WBSC's organizational structure, IBAF and ISF now serve as the Baseball Division and Softball Division of WBSC. Each division is governed by an executive committee, while the WBSC is governed by an executive board.
The WBSC Premier12 is the international baseball tournament organized by the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC), featuring the 12 highest-ranked national baseball teams in the world. The first tournament was held by Taiwan and Japan in November 2015. The 2024 Women's Softball World Cup will be the 18th Women's Softball World Cup, an international softball tournament taking place in Balbriggan, Ireland; Buttrio and Castions di Strada, Italy and Valencia, Spain. The group stage will take place from 11–26 July 2023, held as three separate groups across three nations. The finals will take place in Buttrio and Castions di Strada, Italy from 15–21 July 2024. This is the first WBSC event to be held in two stages. It will be the first time Ireland, Italy and Spain have hosted a major softball tournament. It also the first time more than one nation has hosted the tournament. The United States are the defending champions.
The 2024 Women's Baseball World Cup will be the 9th Women's Baseball World Cup, an international baseball tournament taking place in Thunder Bay, Canada, and one other to be determined location. The group stage will take place from 8-13 August 2023 as two separate tournaments in two separate locations. The finals will take place in Thunder Bay, Canada in 2024. This is the first Women's Baseball World Cup event to be held in two stages. It will be the third time Canada have hosted the tournament. It is also the first time more than one nation has hosted the tournament. Japan are the defending champions.
The 2023 Youth Baseball5 World Cup is a mixed-gender Baseball5 tournament held in 2023 from 10 October to 15 October. 12 countries participated, with Cuba beating France in the final.
The 2022 Baseball5 African Championship was the first edition of the Baseball5 African Championship, a Baseball5 tournament organized by WBSC Africa. The championship was held from 23 to 26 May 2022, in the Tanzania National Indoor Stadium in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania and was contested between ten national teams.
