The 2016 FIBA Europe 3x3 Championships was the second edition of the European 3x3 basketball event that featured separate competitions for men's and women's national teams. The tournament started on 25 June 2016 with the first of the three qualifying tournaments and its final tournament was played in the AFI Cotroceni shopping mall in Bucharest, Romania between 2 and 4 September 2016.
The women's tournament of the 2017 FIBA 3x3 World Cup host in Nantes, France, was attended by 20 teams.

The games were held from November 12 to November 14 in Miami, United States. Sixteen men's teams and 13 women's teams participated in the event celebrated at the Bayfront Park in Downtown Miami.

This event was staged in the covered outdoor venue of the Stade Omnisport Eyadema de Lomé. All African National Federations were invited to register a team for this event. Teams competed in two qualifiers in Benin and Madagascar to qualify for the event.
