The 2020 FIA European Rallycross Championship was the 45th season of the FIA European Rallycross Championship. The season consisted of two rounds across two categories; Supercar and Super1600. The season commenced on 22 August at the Höljesbanan, Höljes, Sweden and finished prematurely on the 6 October at Biķernieku Kompleksā Sporta Bāze in Riga, Latvia.

Calendar

The provisional calendar was unveiled on 30 October 2019. [1] [2] [3] [4]
The season was originally scheduled to start in April but following multiple postponements relating to the COVID-19 pandemic, a revised calendar was released in May 2020 and the championship is now scheduled to begin in August. [5]

Rallycross

Rallycross is a form of sprint style automobile racing, held on a closed mixed-surface racing circuit, with modified production or specially built road cars, similar to the World Rally Cars. It is mainly popular in the Nordic countries, the Netherlands, Belgium, France and Great Britain. An inexpensive, entry level type of rallycross is the Swedish folkrace or its Norwegian counterpart, the so-called bilcross. The folkrace is most popular in Finland where it was founded back in the late 60s. In Europe, rallycross can also refer to racing 1:8 scale off-road radio-controlled buggies.

The European Rallycross Championship is a rallycross competition held in Europe, organised under the auspices of the FIA.

The FIA World Rallycross Championship is a rallycross series organised by the FIA in conjunction with series promoter Rallycross Promoter GmbH. From the inaugural season in 2014 to 2020, sanctioning was shared with IMG Motorsport.

The World RX of Portugal is a rallycross event held in Portugal that formed part of the FIA World Rallycross Championship between 2014 and 2018. The event made its debut in the championship's inaugural 2014 season, at the Pista Automóvel de Montalegre in the northern town of Montalegre, close to the Spanish border. It was removed from the series calendar ahead of the 2019 season, marking the first time in the championship's history that the event was not run. The event was set to return in 2020 but was later cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. On 12 May 2021; it was announced that the event will return in 2021 instead of the World RX of Norway as the final round of the calendar.

The World RX of Finland is a Rallycross event held in Finland for the FIA World Rallycross Championship. The event made its debut in the 2014 season, at the Tykkimäki amusement park in the town of Kouvola.

World RX of Belgium

The World RX of Belgium was a Rallycross event held in Belgium for the FIA World Rallycross Championship. The event made its debut in the 2014 season, at the Circuit Jules Tacheny Mettet in the town of Mettet, Wallonia. From the 2019 season, the event will beheld at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps and has been renamed the Spa World RX of Benelux.

Reinis Nitišs Latvian rallycross driver

Reinis Nitišs is a rallycross driver from Jēkabpils, Latvia. He is the winner of the Super1600 division in the European Rallycross Championship in 2013 and is the youngest event winner in FIA World Rallycross Championship history.

Andreas Bakkerud Norwegian rally driver

Andreas Bakkerud is a rallycross driver from Bergen, Norway. He has competed in the FIA Rallycross Supercar class since 2013 in both Euro RX and World RX. He became European Champion in 2021.

The 2016 FIA World Rallycross Championship presented by Monster Energy was the third season of the FIA World Rallycross Championship. The season consists of twelve rounds and started on 16 April with the Portuguese round at Montalegre. The season ended on 27 November, at Rosario, Santa Fe in Argentina.

The 2017 FIA World Rallycross Championship presented by Monster Energy was the fourth season of the FIA World Rallycross Championship. The season consists of twelve rounds, started on 1 April with the Spanish round at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya and concluded on 12 November at the Killarney Motor Racing Complex in Cape Town, South Africa.

The 2017 FIA European Rallycross Championship was the 42nd season of the FIA European Championships for Rallycross Drivers. Ole Kristian Temte

Ole Kristian Temte is a rallycross driver from Krokstadelva, Norway. His racing career started in 2009, and he switched to supercars in 2015. He has competed in the RallyX Nordic Championship, the FIA World Rallycross Championship, and the European Rallycross Championship. Temte was a permanent driver in the European Rallycross Championship 2017.

Aydar Nuriev Russian racing driver

Aydar Nuriev is a Russian racing driver. He was runner up in the 2018 FIA European Rallycross Championship in his debut season and he won the 2019 FIA European Rallycross Championship in only his second year of ERX participation.

The 2019 Americas Rallycross Championship was the second and final season of the Americas Rallycross Championship, a feeder championship to the FIA World Rallycross Championship representing North America. The season consists of six rounds across two categories; Supercar and ARX2. The season commenced on 8 June at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio and finished on the 6 October at the same location.

The 2021 FIA European Rallycross Championship was the 46th season of the FIA European Rallycross Championship. The championship consisted of two classes: RX1 and RX3.
The championship began on 22 May at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium, and ended on 4 September at Circuit de Lohéac in France.
