Priscilla Novaes Leone, better known as Pitty, is a Brazilian rock singer.
Pato Fu is a Brazilian indie rock band from Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais. The band was formed by lead singer & rhythm guitarist Fernanda Takai, lead guitarist John Ulhoa and bassist Ricardo Koctus, in September 1992. Long-time drummer Xande Tamietti left the band in 2014, being replaced by Glauco Nastácia; keyboardist Richard Neves replaced Lulu Camargo in 2016. The band is also famous for their 2010 album Música de Brinquedo, which was written using only toy instruments. It was at one point included with U2 and Radiohead in a list of the 10 best bands in the world, according to Time magazine.
The MTV Video Music Brazil awards, more commonly known as VMB, were MTV Brasil's annual award ceremony, established in 1995. MTV viewers picked the winners for most categories since 2001.
Nando Reis is a Brazilian musician and producer, best known as the former bassist and one of the lead singers of Brazilian rock band Titãs and for his successful solo career, with his own band called Os Infernais. He has also produced a few albums, including some related to Cássia Eller, who has made several significant partnerships with him, and Marisa Monte. In 2012, Nando Reis was listed among the top ten Brazilian artists at the ECAD list of artists who earned the most from copyright in the first semester of that year. In 2016, he was at the 15th position, besides being 6th in the ranking of earnings from live performances and topped the ranking of earnings from music played in public places.
Nando Reis & Os Infernais is a Brazilian rock band founded by Nando Reis. It is the band that plays with him in studio and during live performances for his solo albums. From MTV Ao Vivo on, all albums by Nando Reis started being credited to both him and the band. Around the time of Sim e Não's release, he explained the change: "[...] I write songs and we decide the arrangements as a team. It was a gradual perception [the name change from Nando Reis to Nando Reis e os Infernais], when I realized that I liked to be seen as an artist who had a conversation with the band rather than as an artist backed by a band."
Infernal...But there is Still a Full Moon Shining Over Jalalabad or simply Infernal is the third solo album released by Brazilian musician Nando Reis. Most of the songs featured on this album were recorded by other artists or on other Reis albums. "E.C.T." and "O Segundo Sol" were performed live by Cássia Eller on her Acústico MTV album. "Eu e Ela", "Sua Impossível Chance", "Marvin" and "Cegos do Castelo" were recorded by Titãs when Nando Reis was still a member. "E.C.T.", "A Fila", "Me Diga" and "Fiz O Que Pude" were previously released on the album 12 de Janeiro. Skank's version of "Resposta" became a big hit in Brazil. Jota Quest first recorded "A Minha Gratidão É Uma Pessoa", which talks about a person who forgives another for their mistakes
Sim e Não is the fifth album released by Brazilian band Nando Reis e os Infernais. It marks the first time Reis did not write songs under the influence of alcohol or other drugs. He commented that "It wans't easy. I have always been seen as an artist connected to drugs and alcohol and that wasn't for nothing. I had this as a stimulant for my creative process. For a while, it had its benefits. But, with all that dependence and addiction, it started to be bad."

The 2009 MTV Video Music Brazil was hosted by Marcelo Adnet and took place at the Credicard Hall. It awarded the best in Brazilian music, popular culture and internet culture in the year of 2009. Despite being a Brazilian awards show, the 2009 VMB included live performances by American rapper Ja Rule and Scottish rock band Franz Ferdinand, who were also nominated in the Best International Act category. The 2009 VMB had over 20 categories, the largest number in the history of the show; therefore, part of the awards were delivered in a special show named "VMB Antes", presented some hours before the main event, including small performances by the 2009 VMB Dream Band winners and winners in other categories.
The 2008 MTV Video Music Brazil was hosted by Marcos Mion and took place at the Credicard Hall. Brazilian rock band NX Zero was the big winner of the event. One of the most notable moments was British indie rock band Bloc Party's performance, during which the audience booed the band after noticing they were lip-synching and mimicking to a pre-recorded track instead of singing and playing live. 2008 VMB also had American singer Ben Harper opening the ceremony performing alone, before being joined by Brazilian singer Vanessa da Mata for a second performance.

In 2007, the awards have faced a major rebranding, with several categories extinguished, and the awards in general no longer awarded the best videos ; instead, the awards were generally focused on the artists, similarly to the MTV Europe Music Awards.

The show was recorded after two months of essays and is composed of Brazilian and international songs selected by Nando, apart from some of his own discography. The song "Could You Be Loved" was performed with Zafenate, the band of Reis' son Theodoro.
Sei is the seventh album by Brazilian band Nando Reis e os Infernais. It was recorded in Seattle, Washington, with the help of producer Jack Endino, who had already produced four studio albums for Titãs, Nando Reis' ex-band. According to Nando, Endino is the "right guy" to record Os Infernais' sound.
Skate Vibration is the fourth DVD by Brazilian alternative rock band Charlie Brown Jr., released in 2005 through EMI. Was recorded on November 6 at the inauguration party of vocalist Chorão's own skatepark, aptly named Chorão Skate Park, which closed down one year after his death, in 2014. It was one of the band's first live performances with its then-new line-up of André Pinguim, Heitor Gomes and Thiago Castanho, and also counted with a guest appearance by their long-time friend and collaborator, rapper Radjja de Santos.
