Reser Stadium is an outdoor athletic stadium in the northwest United States, on the campus of Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon. It is the home of the Oregon State Beavers of the Pac-12 Conference, and opened 70 years ago in 1953 as Parker Stadium. It was renamed in 1999.

William Swancutt is an American former professional football player who was a defensive end in the National Football League (NFL) for three seasons. Richard Burr Rutherford was an American college football and college basketball coach. He served as the head football coach at Washington University in St. Louis from 1917 to 1919 and at Oregon Agricultural College, now Oregon State University, from 1920 to 1923, compiling a career football coaching record of 28–19–6. Rutherford was also the head basketball coach at Washington University from 1917 to 1920 and at Oregon Agricultural from 1920 to 1922, tallying a career basketball coaching mark of 58–41.
The Oregon Sports Hall of Fame honors Oregon athletes, teams, coaches, and others who have made a significant contribution to sports in Oregon. The first class was inducted in 1980, with new inductees added in the fall. Operated by the Oregon Sports Trust, the museum is currently closed in preparation for moving to another facility.

The 1983 Oregon State vs. Oregon football game was a college football game played on November 19, 1983, at Autzen Stadium in Eugene, Oregon, the 87th playing of the annual Oregon–Oregon State football rivalry game, then known as the Civil War. The game ended in a scoreless tie, and since overtime was added to NCAA Division I games in 1996, this is likely to be the last such game. However, there have been two more scoreless ties in regulation since then, in 2005 and 2014.
