The 2007 Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup was the first season of the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup. The season, contested by the riders on equal KTM 125cc bikes, began with one race during the Spanish Grand Prix weekend at Jerez on March 25 and ended with another race header at the Valencian Grand Prix in Valencia on November 3; another six European GPs saw single Rookies races on each Saturday, making it an eight-race championship. The French Johann Zarco was proclaimed champion after the penultimate race. [1]

Miguel Ângelo Falcão de Oliveira is a Portuguese professional motorcycle racer. At the 2015 Italian motorcycle Grand Prix, Oliveira achieved the first World Championship victory for a Portuguese rider. He currently competes in the MotoGP World Championship for KTM Factory Racing, getting the step up from KTM Tech3, a satellite team, for whom he secured both the team's, and his, first and second win.
The Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup is a motorcycle racing series contested by young, up-and-coming motorcycle riders, who have not had experience in a motorcycle grand prix previously. The championship was won by Japanese rider Ayumu Sasaki at the last race.

Raúl Fernández González is a Spanish Grand Prix motorcycle racer, contracted to compete in the 2022 MotoGP World Championship with KTM Tech3. His younger brother, Adrián, is also a motorcycle racer for in the Moto3 class. They are not related to Moto2 rider Augusto Fernández.

The 2021 FIM MotoGP World Championship was the premier class of the 73rd F.I.M. Road Racing World Championship season. Fabio Quartararo won his first world title, with five race wins ahead of securing the title in the third last race of the season. Quartararo became the first ever Frenchman to win the premier class title, which was also the first title for a non-Spanish rider since Australian Casey Stoner in 2011. The season also saw Francesco Bagnaia and Jorge Martín win their first premier class races. In the overall standings, Bagnaia secured second place and reigning champion Joan Mir secured third place, while Martín was named rookie of the year. Ducati secured the constructors' championship for the second consecutive season and the teams' championship for the first time since 2007. In total, eight different riders won Grands Prix during the season.
