The Sri Lanka national rugby union team, known as the Tuskers, represents Sri Lanka in men's international rugby union. The team has yet to make their debut at the Rugby World Cup. They have the longest tradition of organised club rugby in Asia, dating back to 1879, which was just 8 years after the founding of the world's first rugby union in England. They regularly compete in the Asian Five Nations tournament and are currently in Division I. In the 2010 tournament, they made it to the finals beating Chinese Taipei 37 to 7.

The 2008 AFC Challenge Cup football tournament was organised by AFC and was hosted by India.The tournament was played from 30 July – 13 August 2008. India won the final against Tajikistan. India was also the winner of the fair play award and the India captain Bhaichung Bhutia won the most valuable player award.

Marlon Maro is a Filipino football coach and former international football player. He was the head coach of the Philippines women's national football team in 2021.

Cheung Wai Ki is a Hong Kong football player who played as a midfielder for Citizen in the Hong Kong Women League and for Brisbane Roar in the Australian W-League. She also represents Hong Kong internationally in football and in futsal.

The Philippines has competed in ten editions of the AFC Women's Asian Cup, the top tournament for women's national teams organized by members of the Asian Football Confederation.
