The 2008 season of Intercity Football League will start from August 23, 2008.
Taipei City (Tatung F.C.), Tainan County, Yilan County, and Taipei County qualified for being the top 4 places in the 2007 season. Taiwan Power Company F.C., Bros, Chia Cheng Hsin, and Hualien County qualified through the qualification tournament held between July 19 and August 2. [1]

The 2008 season of Highschool Football League was held from March 29 and April 20, 2008. Chinese Taipei School Sport Federation replaced Chinese Taipei Football Association to become the main sponsor. Totally 17 teams participated in the competition. They were divided into two divisions, north and south, in the preliminary round. The best four teams of each division entered to the final round. Since 2008, the league regulations have forbidden players who have registered or played in the Enterprise Football League or other professional football leagues to participate in HFL.

The Chinese Football Association (CFA) is the governing body for association football, beach soccer and futsal in the People's Republic of China. The CFA organizes the men's and women's national teams and administers the country's professional leagues as well as organizing the national knockout cup competition Chinese FA Cup. As members of East Asian Football Federation its national teams are eligible for the East Asian Football Championship and the country's membership in AFC allows teams to participate in that organizations club and national team competitions. China is also a member of FIFA and is therefore eligible to play in the World Cup.
The AFC Women's Asian Cup is a quadrennial competition in women's football for national teams which belong to the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). It is the oldest women's international football competition and premier women's football competition in the AFC region for national teams. The competition is also known as the Asian Women's Football Championship and the Asian Women's Championship. 20 tournaments have been held, with the current champions being China PR. The competition also serves as Asian qualifying tournament for the FIFA Women's World Cup.
Zhongshan Soccer Stadium, Chungshan Soccer Stadium, or Taipei Soccer Stadium was a multi-purpose stadium in Zhongshan District, Taipei, Taiwan. It was established in 1923 as Maruyama Stadium during the Japanese period. The soccer stadium was opened in 1989, it was reconstructed from the former site of Yuanshan Baseball Ground under the guidance of then Chinese Taipei Football Association President Chiang Wei-kuo. Although it was built as a soccer-specific stadium, it was mostly used for live concerts or other activities due to lack of professional football league in Taiwan. The stadium was able to hold 20,000 people for football games and 40,000 for concerts. It was managed by the Hope Foundation led by former athlete Chi Cheng.
Chinese Taipei Football Association (CTFA) is the governing body for football in the Republic of China. Its official name in Chinese is the Republic of China Football Association, but due to the political status of Taiwan it is billed abroad as the "Chinese Taipei Football Association" and uses the English initials TPE on its badge.
The Enterprise Football League, formerly known as the National Football League or the National First Division Football League, was the highest-ranked football league in the Republic of China (Taiwan). It was governed by the Chinese Taipei Football Association (CTFA) and considered semi-professional. The competition was ended in 2009 following a change in regulations and a merger into the Intercity Football League.
Leopard Cat Football Club, formerly known as Tatung Football Club, is a Taiwanese professional football club based in Taipei, that competes in the Taiwan Football Premier League. The club, affiliated with the electronics-producing Tatung Company, was founded in 1963 by a group of Tatung employees favoring football activities. They are among the first clubs to be owned by private enterprise on Taiwan.
Chen Po-liang is a Taiwanese professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Chinese Super League club Qingdao West Coast. He is also captain of the Chinese Taipei national football team and their top scorer and made most appearances.
In Taiwan, some of the most popular sports include baseball, basketball, badminton, football, softball, table tennis, tennis, and volleyball. Martial arts such as tai chi and taekwondo are also practiced by many people. International-known athletes include Jeremy Lin, Tai Tzu-ying, Kuo Hsing-chun, Yu Chang, Chien-Ming Wang, Lin Yun-ju, Yang Chuan-kwang, Chou Tien-chen, Hsieh Su-wei, and Yani Tseng among others.
Intercity Football League was the top-ranked division in the Taiwanese football (soccer) league run by Chinese Taipei Football Association (CTFA), run from 2007 until 2016. From 2017, it was replaced by the Taiwan Football Premier League.
The 2008 season of the Enterprise Football League was held from January 5 to April 27, 2008. With 4 college teams also participating, the number of competing teams increased from 4 to 8. The 2007 league champion Taiwan Power Company F.C. successfully defended the title.

Pao Hsin-hsuan, known as Michelle Pao, is a Taiwanese footballer who plays as a midfielder for Taiwan Mulan Football League club Taichung Blue Whale and the Chinese Taipei women's national team. Pao played collegiate soccer for Pepperdine University.
Taiwan Football Premier League is the top-ranked division in the Taiwanese football league run by Chinese Taipei Football Association (CTFA).
The 2017 Taiwan Football Premier League (TFPL) was the first season of the Taiwan Football Premier League since it replaced the Intercity Football League following the 2016 season. It was contested by 8 clubs. Taichung City Dragon, who participated in the final Intercity Football League season, were replaced for the inaugural TFPL by Tainan City. Taipower FC finished at the top of the table, but were defeated 1-1 on away goals in a playoff by Tatung FC, the second ranked team, for the title. With that result, Tatung FC earned an automatic berth in the 2018 AFC Cup group stage, while Taipower FC qualified for the playoff round. However, neither side chose to enter the tournament, so 3rd place playoff winners Hang Yuen were granted the AFC Cup berth.
The Taiwan Mulan Football League is referred to as TMFL, Taiwan's top-division a Women's football / soccer league. It is run by the Chinese Taipei Football Association (CTFA).
Ng Cheuk Wai is a Hong Kong footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Iwate Zebras Women's FC in the Japan Mynavi Tohoku Women‘s Football League. She is also a futsal player, and represented Hong Kong internationally in both football and futsal.
Tsou Hsin-ni is a Taiwanese footballer who plays as a midfielder. She has been a member of the Chinese Taipei women's national team.
