The 2009 Manitoba Lotteries Women's Curling Classic was held October 23-26 at the Fort Rouge Curling Club in Winnipeg, Manitoba. It was the second Grand Slam event of the 2009-2010 women's World Curling Tour.
The event was previously known as the Casinos of Winnipeg Women's Curling Classic. The event featured 32 teams, 30 of which are from Canada and two from Europe. The total purse for the event was $60,000 with $15,000 going to the winning team.

Jennifer Judith Jones OM is a Canadian curler. She was the Olympic champion in curling as skip of the Canadian team at the 2014 Sochi Games. Jones is the first female skip to go through the Games undefeated. The only male skip to achieve this was fellow Canadian Kevin Martin in 2010. Jones and her squad were the first Manitoba based curling team to win an Olympic gold medal. They won the 2008 World Women's Curling Championship, and were the last Canadian women's team to do so until Rachel Homan in 2017. She won a second world championship in 2018. Jones represented Canada at the 2022 Winter Olympics.
Cathy Overton-Clapham nicknamed "Cathy O" is a Canadian curler. Overton-Clapham is one of Manitoba's most decorated female curlers, with one world championship, five national championships, and thirteen Scotties Tournament of Hearts appearances. In 2019, she began coaching Jamie Sinclair's team, and currently coaches the Cory Christensen team.
Jill Officer is a Canadian curler from Winnipeg, Manitoba. Officer played second for the teams skipped by Jennifer Jones from 2003 to 2018 and while they were juniors. The team won a gold medal while representing Canada at the 2014 Winter Olympics. Team Jones was the first women’s team to go through an Olympic campaign undefeated. The team has also won two World Curling Championships in 2008 and 2018, while going through the later event without a loss on their way to gold.
The Canad Inns Women's Classic is an event on the women's World Curling Tour. It is held at the Portage Curling Club in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba.
Lesley Kaitlyn Lawes is a Canadian curler. Lawes was the long time third for the Jennifer Jones team that represented Canada at the 2014 Winter Olympics where they won the gold medal. They were the first women's team to go through the Olympics undefeated and the first Manitoba based curling team to win at the Olympics. Lawes curled with John Morris in the mixed doubles event at the 2018 Winter Olympics where they won gold. This win made her and Morris the first Canadian curlers to win two Olympic gold medals, and Lawes was the first to win gold in two consecutive Olympics.
The 2009 Trail Appliances Autumn Gold Curling Classic was held October 9–12 at the Calgary Curling Club in Calgary, Alberta. It was the first Grand Slam event of the 2009-10 Women's World Curling Tour.
Jason Gunnlaugson is a Canadian curler currently living in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He currently plays third on the Reid Carruthers rink.
Michael McEwen is a Canadian curler from Winnipeg, Manitoba, who grew up in Brandon, Manitoba. McEwen won six Grand Slams in his career before his team qualified for their first Brier, Canada's national championship in 2016. He is noted as one of the top curlers using the Manitoba tuck delivery today.
The 2010 Manitoba Lotteries Women's Curling Classic was held October 22–25, 2010 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. It was the second Grand Slam event of the 2010-11 curling season. The total purse was $C60,000. $15,000 went to the winning Chelsea Carey rink who defeated Cathy Overton-Clapham in the final. Carey's team thus qualifies to play in the 2010 Canada Cup of Curling
Chelsea Danielle Carey is a Canadian curler from Calgary, Alberta. She is the 2016 and 2019 Canadian and Alberta women's champion skip and 2014 Manitoba provincial women's champion skip.
Breanne Knapp is a Canadian curler from Regina, Saskatchewan. She is a four-time Manitoba Junior Champion and a one-time Canadian junior champion (2009). She has won a silver medal at the World Junior Curling Championships.
The 2011 Manitoba Lotteries Women's Curling Classic was held October 21 to 24 at the Fort Rouge Curling Club in Winnipeg, Manitoba. It was the second women's Grand Slam event of the 2011–12 curling season and the eighth time the tournament has been held. The purse was CAD$60,000, which the winning team of Renée Sonnenberg won and took home CAD$15,000.
The Atkins Curling Supplies Classic is an annual bonspiel, or curling tournament, that takes place at the Assiniboine Memorial Curling Club in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The event has also been hosted by the Charleswood Curling Club in Winnipeg and the East St. Paul Curling Club in East St. Paul, Manitoba. The tournament is held in a round-robin format, and became part of the World Curling Tour in 2012. It began in 2007. Prior to this it was just part of the Manitoba Curling Tour.
The 2012 Manitoba Lotteries Women's Curling Classic was held October 19 to 22 at the Fort Rouge Curling Club in Winnipeg, Manitoba. It was the second women's Grand Slam event of the 2012–13 curling season, and this edition of the event marked the ninth time that the tournament has been held. The purse for the event was CAD$60,000, of which the winner, Stefanie Lawton, received CAD$15,000. Lawton defeated Rachel Homan in the final with a score of 6–4.

Kerri Einarson is a Canadian curler from Camp Morton, Manitoba, in the Rural Municipality of Gimli. Einarson is the three-time reigning women's national champion in curling, skipping her team to victory at the 2022 Scotties Tournament of Hearts, 2021 Scotties Tournament of Hearts and the 2020 Scotties Tournament of Hearts. She previously won silver in 2018. She has also won two provincial mixed curling championships in 2010 and 2013. Einarson has won four Grand Slam of Curling events: the 2016 Boost National, 2019 Players' Championship, 2021 Players' Championship, and 2022 Champions Cup.
Darcy Robertson is a Canadian curler. She is a three-time provincial champion and former Canadian junior champion.
Sarah Pyke is a Canadian curler from Kelowna, British Columbia. She currently plays lead on Team Kristy Watling. She is a former Canadian junior champion and World junior bronze medalist.

Kristy McDonald is a Canadian from Winnipeg, Manitoba. McDonald retired from 2016–2021, but returned to the playing for the 2021–22 season.
