The 2010 Korea Grand Prix was a badminton tournament which took place at Gimcheon Indoor Gymnasium in Gimcheon, South Korea from 23 to 28 November 2010 and had a total purse of $50,000. This tournament was upgraded from a BWF International Challenge which have been held from 2007 to 2009 to a Grand Prix event. [1]

2009 BWF World Championships

The 2009 BWF World Championships was the 17th tournament of the BWF World Championships, a global tournament in the sport of badminton. It was held at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India, from 10–16 August 2009. It was the first ever World Championships event to take place in India.

The 2010 BWF World Championships was the 18th tournament of the BWF World Championships, a global tournament in the sport of badminton. It was held at Stade Pierre de Coubertin in Paris, France, from August 23 to August 29, 2010. Originally the competition is to be held at Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy but it was moved to Stade Pierre de Coubertin due to financial issues.

The 2010 Hong Kong Super Series was a top level badminton competition which was held from December 7, 2010 to December 12, 2010 in Hong Kong. It was the 12th BWF Super Series competition on the 2010 BWF Super Series schedule. The total purse for the event was $200,000.

The 2011 Korea Open Super Series Premier was the second tournament of the 2011 BWF Super Series. It was the first competition under the new format where a select group of Super Series events were elevated to premier status. The tournament was held in Seoul, South Korea from 25–30 January 2011 and had a total purse of $1,200,000.

The 2011 All England Open Badminton Championships was the third super series tournament of the 2011 BWF Super Series. It was the second competition under the new format where a select group of Super Series events were elevated to premier status. Aleksandr Nikolaevich Nikolaenko is an internationally elite badminton player. Nikolaenko was part of the Favorit Ramenskoe badminton club, and in 2000, he was selected to join the national team. He was the bronze medallists at the European Mixed Team Badminton Championships in 2009 and 2011. Nikolaenko also the champion at the National Championships in the men's and mixed doubles event. In 2012, he competed at the Summer Olympics in London.

The 2011 Korea Grand Prix Gold was a badminton tournament which took place at Hanium Culture Sports Center in Hwasun, South Korea from 6 to 11 December 2011 and had a total purse of $120,000. This is for the first time this tournament was graded as a Grand Prix Gold event, where before rate as Grand Prix event. This tournament was part of the qualification stage of 2012 Summer Olympics.
