The 2012 Aircel Chennai Open was a 2012 ATP World Tour tennis tournament, played on outdoor hard courts. It was the 17th edition of the only ATP tournament taking place in India and took place at the SDAT Tennis Stadium in Chennai, India. It was held from 2 to 8 January 2012. Stanislas Wawrinka was the defending singles champion coming into the tournament but was knocked out in the quarterfinals. Former champion Marin Čilić was originally in the field as the 4th seed before pulling out with a patellar tendon injury. Finally, fourth seed Milos Raonic from Canada defeated world no. 9 and top seeded Serb Janko Tipsarević to win only his second ATP title. Raonic became the first player since Roger Federer in 2008 to win an ATP title without losing a serve. The doubles title went to the Indo-Serb pair of Leander Paes and Janko Tipsarević after they defeated the Israeli pair of Jonathan Erlich and Andy Ram.
Roger Federer defeated John Isner in the final, 7–6(9–7), 6–3 to win the men's singles title at the 2012 Indian Wells Masters. It was his record fourth Indian Wells title.
The 2012 Sony Ericsson Open was a tennis tournament played at Key Biscayne, Miami from March 19 to April 1, 2012. It was the 28th edition of the Sony Ericsson Open and was played on hard courts at the Tennis Center at Crandon Park. The event was part of the 2012 ATP World Tour and 2012 WTA Tour. Novak Djokovic was the defending champion, and successfully defended his title by defeating Andy Murray 6–1, 7–6(7–4) in the final. It was Djokovic's third Sony Ericsson Open title.
Roger Federer defeated Tomáš Berdych in the final, 3–6, 7–5, 7–5 to win the men's singles title at the 2012 Madrid Open. With this win, Federer won his record-tying 20th ATP Masters 1000 title and third title at Madrid.
Andy Murray was the defending champion, but lost to Milos Raonic in the semifinals.
Eighth-seeded Kei Nishikori won the title beating Milos Raonic in the final 7–6(7–5), 3–6, 6–0, and in doing so became the first home grown winner of the title since Toshiro Sakai in 1972.
David Ferrer defeated Jerzy Janowicz in the final 6–4, 6–3, to win the singles title at the 2012 Paris Masters. It was his first Masters 1000 title, and he became the first Spaniard to win the Paris Masters title.
Rafael Nadal defeated Juan Martín del Potro in the final, 4–6, 6–3, 6–4 to win the men's singles title at the 2013 Indian Wells Masters. It was Nadal's third singles title at Indian Wells, his record 22nd ATP Masters 1000 title, and his 53rd title overall.
Novak Djokovic was the defending champion, but lost in the fourth round to Tommy Haas. This championship was the first since the tournament's inception that no American was featured in the quarterfinals, with the last player from the US, Sam Querrey, beaten in the fourth round by Tomáš Berdych. This meant that it was also the first all-European final eight at the Miami Masters.
Novak Djokovic defeated the eight-time defending champion Rafael Nadal in the final, 6–2, 7–6(7–1) to win the singles title at the 2013 Monte-Carlo Masters. With the win, Djokovic ended Nadal's 46-match winning streak at the event, the longest win streak at a single tournament in tennis history. Additionally, Djokovic became the first man to win singles titles at 8 of the 9 Masters 1000 tournaments.

Defending champion Novak Djokovic successfully defended his title, defeating Roger Federer in a rematch of the previous year's final, 6–3, 6–7(5–7), 6–2, to win the men's singles title at the 2015 Indian Wells Masters.
Novak Djokovic defeated Tomáš Berdych in the final, 7–5, 4–6, 6–3, to win the singles title at the 2015 Monte-Carlo Masters. It was his second Monte-Carlo Masters title, and he became the first man to win the first three ATP Tour Masters 1000 titles of the season.
Defending champion Roger Federer successfully defended his title, defeating Novak Djokovic in the final, 7–6(7–1), 6–3, to win the men's singles title at the 2015 Cincinnati Masters. He won the title without losing a set or having his serve broken, the second time he did so in Cincinnati, following his win in 2012. It marked the first time Federer defeated the world No. 1 and No. 2 players in consecutive matches en route to a title. It was Djokovic's fifth runners-up finish without winning the title.
Daniel Nestor and Édouard Roger-Vasselin were the defending champions, but chose not to compete together. Nestor played alongside Vasek Pospisil, but lost in the semifinals to Ivan Dodig and Marcelo Melo. Roger-Vasselin teamed up with Julien Benneteau, but lost in the first round to Milos Raonic and Nenad Zimonjić.
Grigor Dimitrov defeated Nick Kyrgios in the final, 6–3, 7–5, to win the 2017 Cincinnati Masters. It was his first ATP World Tour Masters 1000 title, and he did not lose a set throughout the tournament.
