The 2012 FIBA Asia Under-18 Championship for Women is FIBA Asia's basketball championship for females under 18 years old. The games were held at Johor Bahru, Malaysia from 29 September to 6 October 2012. China, Japan and Korea represented FIBA in the 2013 FIBA Under-19 World Championship for Women in Lithuania.

The FIBA Under-17 Basketball World Cup is the under-17 men's world basketball championship organised by the International Basketball Federation (FIBA). The event was held for the first time in July 2010, and is held biennially.

Evelyn Mawuli is a Japanese professional basketball player. She competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics, winning a silver medal. Evelyn was born to Ghanaian parents in Toyohashi, Aichi. At the age of 14, she naturalized along with her entire family to become a Japanese citizen, in order to represent Japan in international tournaments.
