The 2012 William Jones Cup was the 34th tournament of the William Jones Cup that took place at the Taipei Physical Education College Gymnasium in Taipei, Republic of China (commonly known as Taiwan) from August 18 to 26, 2012.

Contents

As in previous tournaments, this year's edition of the Jones Cup uses a single round robin format. The Philippines men's national basketball team won the championship by ending the tournament with the best win–loss record. The Philippines clinched the title with a 76–75 win over the United States Jones Cup National Team the tournament's final game day. [1]

The 2016 William Jones Cup was the 38th staging of William Jones Cup, an international basketball tournament. The men's tournament was held from 23–31 July 2016 at the Hsinchuang Gymnasium in New Taipei City, Taiwan. The women's tournament was held from 3–7 August 2016.

The 2017 William Jones Cup was the 39th staging of William Jones Cup, an international basketball tournament held in Taipei, Taiwan.

The Philippines men's national basketball team, led by head coach Chot Reyes qualified for the 2017 FIBA Asia Cup and the first round of the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup Asian qualifiers by earning the sole Southeast Asia berth at the 2017 SEABA Championship. In the first round of the FIBA Basketball World Cup qualifiers the Philippines was grouped with Australia, Japan and Chinese Taipei. They won over Japan in Tokyo and secured a win over Chinese Taipei at home in Quezon City. They will play against the two teams one more time as well as Australia twice in 2018.

The 2019 William Jones Cup is the 41st staging of William Jones Cup, an international basketball tournament held in Changhua, and New Taipei City, Taiwan. The men's tournament was held from 12 to 21 July 2019 while the women's tournament will be contested from 24 to 28 July 2019.
