The 2018 William Jones Cup was the 40th staging of William Jones Cup, an international basketball tournament held in New Taipei City, Taiwan.

Contents

The men's tournament was held from 14–22 July 2018 with 11 teams participating. [1] The women's tournament was held from 25–29 July 2018 and was contested by six teams. [2] Both tournaments were held at the Xinzhuang Gymnasium in New Taipei City and followed a single round robin format. [1] [2]

The R. William Jones Cup, also known as the Jones Cup, is an international basketball tournament organized by the Chinese Taipei Basketball Association (CTBA) held annually since 1977 in Taiwan.

The "Damien Knabben Cup" Futsal Invitational Tournament in Taipei, or simply Damien Knabben Cup, is an invitational futsal tournament held by Taipei Futsal Association. It started from 2006, under the name Taipei International Invitational Futsal Tournament. In 2007, it was renamed to Damien Knabben Cup in remembrance of Damien Knabben, late manager of Chinese Taipei national futsal team who died on April 2, 2006.

Japeth Aguilar Filipino basketball player

Japeth Paul Cabrera Aguilar is a Filipino professional basketball player for the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). He first played collegiate basketball for the Ateneo Blue Eagles in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP), but after two seasons, he moved to the Western Kentucky University Hilltoppers in the Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association in the United States.

Guangdong–Hong Kong Cup of 2007–08 was the 30th staging of this two-leg competition between Hong Kong and Guangdong.

Xu Deshuai

Xu Deshuai is a Chinese-born Hong Kong professional footballer who is currently a free agent. He was born in Dalian, China but represents Hong Kong in international competition. He was a member of the Hong Kong East Asian Games football team in 2009 who won the East Asian Games gold medal.

The 2011 Long Teng Cup was the 2nd staging of the Long Teng Cup, an international football competition held in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. The tournament took place from 30 September to 4 October 2011.

Taipei POP Radio FM91.7 is a Taiwanese Mandopop radio station, began broadcasting on November 25, 1995. It replaced Hit FM as the seventh, Taiwan-based, contributing radio station member of the Global Chinese Pop Chart.

Quincy Spencer Davis III is an American-born Taiwanese basketball player. A former United States citizen, he renounced that citizenship in June 2013 to naturalize in Taiwan so that he could play for the Chinese Taipei men's national basketball team in international competition. He currently plays for Pure-Youth Construction Basketball Team.

2014 FIBA Asia Cup

2014 FIBA Asia Cup was the 5th FIBA Asia Cup, a top-level international basketball tournament of FIBA Asia. The tournament was held in Wuhan, Hubei, China from 11–19 July 2014. Iran won the tournament by defeating Chinese Taipei 89–79 in the final and thus automatically qualified for the 2015 FIBA Asia Championship to be held in China.

Joseph Hsu King-shing also transliterated as Hsu King-Seng was a Chinese professional footballer and football manager. Born in Shanghai, Hsu moved to Hong Kong to continue his professional career and never returned to the mainland China to play nor coach. He coached both Hong Kong and Republic of China (Taiwan), as well as managed Singtao for more than a decade.

Dato Aw Cheng ChyeS.P.M.J., B.B.M., O.St.J was a Singaporean millionaire and son of the late Aw Boon Par. Aw Cheng Chye himself was the chairman of Haw Par Brothers (Private) Limited and Haw Par Brothers International Limited until his sudden death on 22 August 1971 in Santiago de Chile.

Chinese Taipei at the 2018 Asian Games Sporting event delegation

Chinese Taipei competed at the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta and Palembang, Indonesia, from 18 August to 2 September 2018. At the last Games in Incheon, the country bagged a total 51 medals, including 10 gold, 18 silver, and 23 bronze. This time, Chinese Taipei is set to send a 738-strong team to compete in 36 of 40 sporting events, including 588 athletes.

Carlos Leonel Gois Fernandes, commonly known as Carlos Leonel, is a football player for Benfica de Macau and Macau national football team. He was the top scorer in the 2016 and 2017 Liga de Elite. He also helped Benfica de Macau win the Liga de Elite from 2015 to 2018.

Nam Ching Basketball is a Hong Kong men's basketball team of the South China Athletic Association (SCAA). The basketball section of the club had their first team known as just South China, while the second team Nam Ching, was the transliteration of South [China] Youth. Nam Ching competes in Hong Kong A1 Division Championship.

The South China AA volleyball team is a department of the South China Athletic Association (SCAA). The department was also known as Chinese: 排球部; lit. 'volleyball section' or Chinese: 南華男排; lit. 'South China men's volleyball'. The department also has another men's volleyball team known as Nam Ching as well as women's volleyball team also known as "South China".

The 2019 William Jones Cup is the 41st staging of William Jones Cup, an international basketball tournament held in Taiwan. The men's tournament was held from 12 to 21 July 2019 while the women's tournament will be contested from 24 to 28 July 2019.

Hong Kong FA Cup Junior Division is a football competition in Hong Kong established in 2013. All lower division teams in the First Division, Second Division and the Third Division are included in the competition.

Tzu-Han Ting Taiwanese figure skater

Tzu-Han Ting is a Taiwanese figure skater. She is a three-time Taiwanese junior national champion (2019–21). She finished 17th at the 2020 World Junior Championships.
