K-1 World MAX 2012 World Championship Tournament Final 16 was a kickboxing event promoted by the K-1 in association with the Dutch-based promotion It's Showtime. It took place on May 27, 2012 at the Palacio Vistalegre in Madrid, Spain. It was the 9th annual K-1 World Max (70 kg/154 lb weight class) World Championship Final and the first K-1 event since the establishment of K-1 Global Holdings Ltd by EMCOM Entertainment.

These fights were played under K-1 rules with three three-minute rounds and one extra round.

K-1 World Grand Prix 2012 in Los Angeles was a kickboxing event held by the K-1 in association with the Romanian-based promotion SUPERKOMBAT on September 8, 2012 at the Memorial Sports Arena in Los Angeles, California.

It was a qualifying tournament and involved eight fighters with all bouts being fought under K-1 Rules (100 kg/156-220 lbs). Xavier Vigney, Rick Roufus, Jarrell Miller and Randy Blake qualified for the K-1 World Grand Prix 2012 in Tokyo final 16. [2] It also involved eight fighters who fought in the K-1 MAX (70 kg/154 lbs) weight division preliminaries and another eight in super fights. In total there were twenty-four fighters at the event, the majority representing the United States. [3] [4] [5]

K-1 World Grand Prix 2012 in Tokyo final 16 was a kickboxing event held by the K-1 in association with the Romanian-based promotion SUPERKOMBAT [7] on Sunday, October 14, 2012 at the Ryōgoku Kokugikan in Tokyo, Japan. It was the final elimination tournament for top sixteen fighters. The winners qualified for the K-1 World Grand Prix 2012 final. [8]

Rick John Roufus is a retired American kickboxer. He has also competed professionally in boxing and mixed martial arts. An accomplished professional fighter throughout his competitive career, Roufus has won multiple world championships across the globe in several weight classes, he was world champion as a super middle weight, light heavyweight and heavyweight. Roufus held titles for all the major kickboxing associations worldwide, and is known for his boxing skills and powerful kicks. He is the older brother of Duke Roufus who is also a kickboxer and a Muay Thai and mixed martial arts instructor. Rick Roufus is the Global Director of Fighter Development for PKA Worldwide. In 2012 Rick Roufus was inducted into the World Kickboxing League Hall of Fame.

Michalis "Iron Mike" Zambidis is a professional Greek kickboxer and martial artist. He is an 18-time World Champion, including former World version W5, SUPERKOMBAT and in a series of K-1 Tournaments and Grand Prix Champion. He mostly competed in the K-1 MAX where he scored mostly knockouts.

Changpuek Kiatsongrit is a Thai former Muay Thai fighter. He is credited as being one of the first Muay Thai fighters to go abroad and fight other fighters of other martial arts styles, often stronger and heavier than himself, bringing to the world an understanding of the effectiveness of Muay Thai. Changpuek is a seven time world champion who has fought some of the world's best fighters at middleweight to heavyweight and has wins against world class fighters such as Rob Kaman (x3), Rick Roufus, Peter Smit and Tosca Petridis. After ending his career as a professional fighter while working for Sitpholek gym in Pattaya, Thailand, he continued his employment at that gym as a Muay Thai trainer.

K-1 World Grand Prix 2000 Final was a kickboxing event promoted by the K-1 organization. It was the eighth K-1 Grand Prix final, involving eight of the world's top fighters, with all bouts fought under K-1 Rules (100 kg/156-220 lbs). The eight finalists were a mixture of invitees, some of whom had been at the previous year's final, or had qualified via preliminary tournaments.

Albert “The Hurricane” Kraus is a Dutch kickboxer. He was the first K-1 World MAX Tournament Champion in 2002 and also the first SUPERKOMBAT Middleweight Champion. Kraus has also held four separate world titles in kickboxing and Muay Thai. He is currently fighting out of Super Pro Gym.

Gevorg "Giorgio" Petrosyan is an Armenian-born Italian kickboxer who competes in the middleweight division. He is nicknamed "The Doctor" and noted for his supreme technical skills, ringsmanship and defensive prowess which has seen him defeat some of the best strikers in the world while taking little-to-no damage. As of September 2022, he is ranked the #5 lightweight and #6 pound-for-pound kickboxer in the world by Combat Press, and is widely regarded as one of the greatest kickboxers of all time. As of October 12, 2023, he is ranked #5 in the ONE Featherweight Kickboxing rankings.

Cătălin Moroșan is a retired Romanian kickboxer, chanbara practitioner and professional rugby player. He is best known for his time in the Superkombat Fighting Championship (SUPERKOMBAT), where he competed in the heavyweight division. Moroșanu also competed for Local Kombat, K-1, Glory and Dynamite Fighting Show. He is currently a politician and kickboxing promoter, serving as president of the Dynamite Fighting Show.

It took place on Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at the Nippon Budokan Arena in Tokyo, Japan. It was the 7th annual K-1 World Max World Championship Final, featuring four quarter final winners of K-1 World MAX 2008 Final 8 held on July 7, 2008 in Tokyo, Japan. The card also included a couple of tournament reserve bouts, two Superfights between Takayuki Kohiruimaki vs Joerie Mes and Nieky Holzken vs. Virgil Kalakoda, the ISKA World Lightweight Title Match plus the quarterfinals in K-1's new Koshien King of U-18 series. The four quarter final winners of the K-1 Koshien bouts would qualify for the semi-finals at the Dynamite!! 2008 event.

K-1 World MAX 2004 World Tournament Final was a kickboxing and martial arts event promoted by the K-1 organization. It was the third K-1 MAX final for middleweight kickboxers involving eight finalists and two reserve fighters, with all bouts fought under K-1 rules. Seven of the eight finalists had won elimination fights at the K-1 World MAX 2004 World Tournament Open, while the last finalist and both reserve fighters were invited despite suffering defeats. As well as tournament matches there was also an opening fight, fought under K-1 rules and a super fight fought under K-1 mixed rules. In total there were fourteen fighters at the event, representing nine countries.

Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong is a Thai Muay Thai kickboxer who is currently signed to ONE Championship. Sitthichai is a former Lumpinee Stadium Welterweight Champion and Glory Lightweight Champion. Combat Press ranks him as the #3 lightweight kickboxer in the world. As of October 27, 2022, he is ranked #3 in the ONE Featherweight Kickboxing rankings, and as of March 6, 2023, he is ranked #2 in the ONE Featherweight Muay Thai rankings.

Lorenzo Javier Jorge, also known as Jorge Loren, is a retired Spanish professional kickboxer and K-1 veteran. Loren was the Super Cruiserweight Champion of the Superkombat Fighting Championship. He is also the 2014 Superkombat World Grand Prix tournament champion and fought for the It's Showtime 95MAX world title, losing to Danyo Ilunga by decision after 5 rounds. He has also fought in Enfusion.

Dewey Cooper is an American former kickboxer and boxer who competed in the cruiserweight and heavyweight divisions. After becoming a two-time world champion in 2000 by taking the WKC heavyweight and WKF cruiserweight titles, he would go on to become a regular competitor in the K-1 promotion's US events. He came close to winning a K-1 Grand Prix Tournament when he defeated Nobu Hayashi and Samoan power puncher Mighty Mo, but lost out to Michael McDonald in the final of the K-1 World Grand Prix 2004 in Las Vegas I all in the same night.

Bogdan Cristian Stoica is a Romanian professional kickboxer and boxer, and former wushu practitioner. Stoica is also one-time SUPERKOMBAT Cruiserweight Champion, one-time Enfusion Light Heavyweight and two-time wushu national champion. He was also ranked as a top-10 middleweight in the world for several years by LiverKick.com, CombatPress.com and GloryKickboxing.com. He has competed for GLORY, ONE Championship, SUPERKOMBAT Fighting Championship, Enfusion, Wu Lin Feng and Glory of Heroes.

Andrei Cătălin Stoica is a Romanian kickboxer competing in the Light Heavyweight division. He was the first to hold the SUPERKOMBAT Super Cruiserweight Championship and held the SUPERKOMBAT record for most consecutive title defenses.

Frank Muñoz is a Spanish heavyweight kickboxer, who has competed in the SUPERKOMBAT Fighting Championship, where he is a former 2013 SUPERKOMBAT World Grand Prix Tournament Champion. He is also the former WAKO-Pro K-1 European champion.

Sergiano Herbert Cairo, better known as Redouan Cairo is a Surinamese-Dutch kickboxer fighting in the Superkombat Fighting Championship where he is the 2013 Superkombat World Grand Prix Tournament Runner-up. Also a Mixed martial artist, he is a former WAKO-Pro world cruiser heavyweight K-1 rules -94.1 kg champion.
