Television in Turkey

Television in Turkey was introduced in 1952 with the launch of ITU TV. The first national television channel is TRT 1, which was introduced in 1968. Color television was introduced in 1981. Back then it was the only channel with the name of TRT 1, and it broadcast in several times of the dateline. Turkey's first private television channel Star started it broadcast on 26 May 1989.

Özge Ulusoy is a Turkish model, retired ballet dancer, and occasional film actress. She is best known for her appearance in the popular TV-series Arka Sokaklar from 2006 to 2009. As a model, she walked the runways for Hussein Chalayan, Mavi Jeans, Mudo, Hervé Léger, Balenciaga, Eva Gronbach, Guy Laroche, Emanuel Ungaro, Christian Dior, Marks & Spencer, Harvey Nichols, Mango, etc. She held the first runner-up title for the annual beauty pageant Miss Turkey in 2003. In 2002, Ulusoy finished third in Elite Model Management's Elite Model Look competition, took second place the following year in the Miss Turkey competition, and won the Miss Turkey Universe 2003 title before signing with Uğurkan Erez Model Management in Istanbul. Since her debut, Ulusoy has been the face of a variety of advertising campaigns in Turkey.

<i>O Ses Türkiye</i> television series

O Ses Türkiye is a Turkish reality singing competition and local version of The Voice. It started on 10 October 2011. O Ses Türkiye is presented by Acun Ilıcalı.

Turkish Cup

The Turkish Cup is a football cup competition in Turkish football, run by the Turkish Football Federation since 1962. During a brief sponsorship period with Fortis, its sponsored name was Fortis Türkiye Kupası. Now Ziraat Bankası is the sponsor and the sponsored name for the cup is Ziraat Türkiye Kupası.

Alex (footballer, born 1977) Brazilian footballer and manager

Alexsandro de Souza, commonly known as Alex, is a Brazilian former footballer who played as an attacking midfielder. He is a former captain of the Brazilian national team and Turkish club Fenerbahçe; throughout his career, he also played for Coritiba, Palmeiras, Flamengo and Cruzeiro in Brazil, and Parma in the Italian Serie A. Alex first played professionally for Coritiba, a Brazilian football club from the state of Paraná, where he stayed from 1995- 97, when he was sold to Palmeiras, from São Paulo. When he was playing for Palmeiras where he became a national star, in Brazil. He conquered for the Parque Antárctica club a Libertadores da América cup title, in 1999, a Rio-São Paulo cup title in 2000 and a Copa do Brasil title and a Mercosul cup title in 1998. He left Palmeiras and signed with Flamengo, of Rio de Janeiro in 2000.

Hakan Özoğuz is a Turkish musician. He is the guitarist of the Turkish ska-punk band Athena. He is the twin brother of fellow band member Gökhan Özoğuz, and a founder member of the band.

Turkish Super Cup


The Turkish Super Cup, as it is currently known, is the annual super cup football match contested between the previous season's Süper Lig champions and the Turkish Cup winners in Turkey. It was originally known as the Cumhurbaşkanlığı Kupası from 1966 to 1998. No competition was held between 1999 and 2005, although there was a substitute competition played under the name of Atatürk Cup in 2000. The rebranded TFF Süper Kupa is a curtain raiser for the upcoming footballing season, usually taking place in August.

Burak Yılmaz is a Turkish professional footballer who plays as a striker for Beşiktaş and the Turkey national football team. He has also played for "big four" clubs in Turkey: Beşiktaş, Fenerbahçe, Trabzonspor and Galatasaray.

Murat Boz Turkish singer

Murat Boz is a Turkish singer-songwriter and actor. After finishing his primary and secondary education in his birthplace, Karadeniz Ereğli, he moved to Istanbul and enrolled in Istanbul Bilgi University in 1999 and later continued his studies at the Istanbul Technical University. At the same time he began to perform as a backing vocalist for Tarkan.

Aynishan Quliyeva is an Azerbaijani singer and the daughter of the famous Azeri singer Aybeniz Hasimova. In 2010, she made it to the Azerbaijani national final for the chance to represent Azerbaijan in the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 in Germany. In her semifinal she received 25,000 votes, about 10,000 more votes than any of the other winners of the semifinals. Quliyeva did not win but placed amongst the five final acts in the final. In 2015 she participated in The Voice of Turkey.

2011–12 Turkish Cup was the 50th season of the Turkish Cup, won by Fenerbahçe. Ziraat Bankası was the sponsor of the tournament, thus the sponsored name was Ziraat Turkish Cup. The tournament began with first qualifying round matches played on 7 December 2011, and concluded at the 16 May 2012 final. As winners Fenerbahçe already secured a berth in 2012–13 UEFA Champions League through league position, the runners-up Bursaspor will enter 2012–13 UEFA Europa League in second qualifying round. By winning the cup, Fenerbahçe qualified for the 2012 Turkish Super Cup.

TV8 (Turkey) Turkish TV channel

TV8 is a television station owned by MNG Media Group, which started broadcasting on 22 February 1999. Its current owner is Acun Ilicali. Outside of the terrestrial broadcast Cable TV, Teledünya, Tivibu, Digiturk, D-Smart and satellite broadcasts to reach the audience.

Sedat Yüce is a Turkish singer. He is most notable for representing Turkey in the Eurovision Song Contest 2001. He also attempted to participate in O Ses Türkiye, the Turkish version of The Voice, which garnered a negative response.

Samra Rahimli azerbaijani singer

Samra Rahimli is an Azerbaijani singer. In 2015, she competed in O Ses Türkiye where she made it to the quarterfinals and in March 2016, she became a finalist on the first season of Səs Azərbaycan. On 10 March 2016, she was announced as the Azerbaijani act for the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 with the song "Miracle". Rahimli performed during Semi Final 1 and successfully progressed to the Grand Final where she placed 17th with 117 points.

2018–19 Turkish Womens First Football League

The 2018–19 season of the Turkish Women's First Football League is the 23rd season of Turkey's premier women's football league.

Aslı Canan Sabırlı is a Turkish women's football defender currently playing in the First League for ALG Spor with jersey number 12. She was a member of the Turkey girls' national U-17 and women's U-19 team. In addition to her squad membership, she serves as technical director of her team.
