Murang'a County is one of the counties of Kenya's former Central Province. Its largest town and capital is Murang'a, which was referred to as Fort Hall during the colonial era. The county is inhabited mainly by and is considered the birthplace of the Gikuyu, the largest ethnic group in Kenya. The county has a population of 1,056,640 based on the 2019 census.

Gatundu is a small town in Kiambu County of Kenya. The town is located on a hill surrounded by many farms and residences.
Nyandarua County is a County in the former Central Province of Kenya. Its capital and largest town is Ol Kalou. Formerly the capital was Nyahururu, which is now part of the Laikipia County. Nyandarua County has population of 596,268 and an area of 3,304 km2. The county is located on the northwestern part of the old Central Province, and contains the Aberdare Ranges.
Clement Kungu Waibara is a Kenyan politician. He belongs to Party of Independent Candidates of Kenya and was elected to represent the Gatundu North Constituency in the 2007 National Assembly of Kenya. He lost to Kigo Njenga during the 2013 elections. He came second during the elections behind Gatundu North MP Wanjiku Kibe whose illegality case still stands, and Kigo Njenga who came third. Waibara has been steadfast in his election case which he began in 2018, where he is challenging the incumbent Wanjiku Kibe for vying for the MP seat under a Constitutional breach. He is currently running his chain of businesses in Thika and Nairobi Town.
Hassan Ali Joho is a Kenyan politician and the former Governor of Mombasa County affiliated with the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM). He was also elected to represent the Kisauni Constituency in the National Assembly of Kenya during the 2007 Kenyan parliamentary election. On 4 March 2013, during the general election, Joho was elected as the first governor of Mombasa County. In the 2017 General Elections held on 8 August, Joho retained his seat on an ODM ticket. Despite significant politically engineered setbacks, Joho emerged triumphant by winning with 220 576 votes against his closest rival Suleiman Shahbal with 69 322 votes, Suleiman is a member of the Jubilee Party. Joho served as governor of Mombasa until 2022 when he completed his ten year term paving way for his successor Abdulswammad Sharrif Nassir the former member of the National Assembly for Mvita Constituency.
Gatundu South is an electoral constituency in Kiambu County, Kenya and the seat of the District Officer in Gatundu Town. It is one of twelve constituencies in Kiambu County. The constituency has four wards, Kiamwangi, Kiganjo, Ndarugo and Ng'enda all of them are within Kiambu County council. The constituency was established before the 1997 General Elections. Previously it was part of the larger Gatundu Constituency which was split into Gatundu South Constituency and Gatundu North Constituency it is ranked 182 out of 210 Constituencies in Kenya in size and 165 out of 210 in population size.
Kikuyu Constituency is an electoral constituency in Kenya. It is one of twelve constituencies in Kiambu County. The constituency was established for the 1963 elections. From 1988 elections to 2002 elections it was known as Kabete Constituency. With the new demarcation of constituencies by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), the constituency was split into two and now we have Kikuyu Constituency and Kabete Constituency. Kikuyu Constituency borders Kabete, Limuru, Westlands and Dagoreti Constituencies. The constituency had its name changed to Kabete Constituency before 2007 General Elections and Later in 2012 during the review of boundaries by the Independent Electoral Boundaries Commission (IEBC), the constituency was split into two, thereby creating Kikuyu and Kabete constituencies Respectively.
Lari Constituency is an electoral constituency in Kenya, located forty kilometers from Nairobi along the Nairobi-Nakuru highway. Lari is located in the Western part of Kiambu County. The constituency was established in 1966. Lari borders Kinangop to the North, Limuru to the South, Githunguri and Gatundu North constituencies to the east and Naivasha Constituency to the west. Lari is one of the 12 sub-counties in Kiambu County, and is further divided to five wards each electing a representative to the Kiambu County Assembly.
The Counties of Kenya are geographical units created by the 2010 Constitution of Kenya as the new units of devolved government. They replaced the previous provincial system. The establishment and executive powers of the counties is provided in Chapter Eleven of the Constitution on devolved government, the Constitution's Fourth Schedule and any other legislation passed by the Senate of Kenya concerning counties.
