Murang'a County is one of the counties of Kenya's former Central Province. Its largest town and capital is Murang'a, which was referred to as Fort Hall during the colonial era. The county is inhabited mainly by, and is considered the birthplace of the Gikuyu, the largest ethnic group in Kenya. The county had a population of 1,056,640 in the 2019 census.

The town is located on a hill surrounded by many farms and residences.
Nyandarua County is a county in the former Central Province of Kenya, with its capital and largest town being Ol Kalou. Formerly, the capital was Nyahururu, which is now part of Laikipia County. Nyandarua County had a population of 596,268 in 2009 and 638,289 in 2019 and covers an area of 3,304 km2. The county is located on the northwestern part of the old Central Province, and contains the Aberdare Ranges.
Clement Kungu Waibara is a Kenyan politician. He belongs to the Party of Independent Candidates of Kenya and was elected to represent the Gatundu North Constituency in the 2007 National Assembly of Kenya. He lost to Kigo Njenga during the 2013 elections. He came second during the elections behind Gatundu North MP Wanjiku Kibe whose illegality case still stands, and Kigo Njenga who came third. Kikuyu Constituency is an electoral constituency in Kenya. It is one of twelve constituencies in Kiambu County and was established during the 1963 elections. From the period 1988 elections were held until the 2002 elections were held in Kenya, it was known as Kabete Constituency. With the new demarcation of constituencies by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), the constituency was split into two and now we have Kikuyu Constituency and Kabete Constituency.
Lari Constituency is an electoral constituency in Kenya, located in the northwestern part of Kiambu County. The constituency was established in 1966 from Limuru Constituency. Lari borders Kinangop to the North, Limuru to the South, Githunguri and Gatundu North constituencies to the east and Naivasha Constituency to the west. Moses Kiarie Kuria is a Kenyan politician and the former Cabinet Secretary (CS) for public service, performance and delivery management having been appointed by President William Ruto, and successfully vetted by the 13th Parliament of Kenya. He was sworn in on 27 October 2022 as the new CS for Investments, Trade and Industry replacing Betty Maina.
