The Atlantic 10 Conference (A-10) is a collegiate athletic conference whose schools compete in the National Collegiate Athletic Association's (NCAA) Division I. The A-10's member schools are located in states mostly on the United States Eastern Seaboard, as well as some in the Midwest: Massachusetts, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Virginia, Ohio, Illinois, and Missouri as well as in the District of Columbia. Although some of its members are state-funded, half of its membership is made up of private, Catholic institutions. Despite the name, there are 15 full-time members, and three affiliate members that participate in women's field hockey and men's lacrosse. The current commissioner is Bernadette McGlade, who began her tenure in 2008.

The 2011–12 VCU Rams men's basketball team represented Virginia Commonwealth University during the 2011–12 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. It was the 44th season of the University fielding a men's basketball program. Led by third-year head coach Shaka Smart, the Rams were coming off a season marked by a run to the Final Four. Expected to finish lower in the CAA regular season standings, the Rams finished as regular season runners-up with a 15–3 conference record, before winning the 2012 CAA Men's Basketball Championship against Drexel, 59–56, earning their 11th ever berth into the NCAA Tournament. It was also the first season since 1984–85 that the Rams consecutively qualified for the NCAA Tournament.

The 2013 NCAA Division I men's soccer tournament was the 55th edition of the tournament. The four team College Cup finals tournament was held at PPL Park in Chester, Pennsylvania on December 13 and 15, 2013. On December 15, Notre Dame defeated Maryland, 2–1, to win its first national title.

The 2017 Atlantic 10 Conference men's soccer season was the 31st season of varsity soccer in the conference. The regular season began on August 25 and concluded on November 1. The 2017 Atlantic 10 Conference women's soccer tournament was the postseason women's soccer tournament for the Atlantic 10 Conference held from October 28 through November 5, 2017. The quarterfinals of the tournament were held at campus sites, while the semifinals and final took place at Sports Backers Stadium in Richmond, Virginia. The eight-team single-elimination tournament consisted of three rounds based on seeding from regular season conference play. The defending tournament champions were the Dayton Flyers, but they were eliminated from the 2017 tournament with a 3–2 quarterfinal loss to the La Salle Explorers. La Salle won the tournament, their third Atlantic 10 tournament championship in program history, all of which have come under the direction of head coach Paul Royal, and all three of which were decided in overtime periods.

The 2017–18 VCU Rams women's basketball team represents Virginia Commonwealth University during the 2017–18 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Rams are led by fourth year head coach Beth O'Boyle. The Rams are members of the Atlantic 10 Conference and play their home games at the Stuart C. Siegel Center. They finished the season 7–23, 8–8 in A-10 play to finish in thirteenth place. They lost in the first round of the A-10 women's tournament Saint Joseph's.

The 2018 Atlantic 10 men's soccer tournament, was the 21st edition of the Atlantic 10 Men's Soccer Tournament. It will determined the Atlantic 10 Conference's automatic berth into the 2018 NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Championship. The tournament began on November 4 and concluded on November 11. Saint Louis University hosted the semifinals and championship matches with these fixtures contested at Hermann Stadium.

The 2020 Atlantic 10 Conference men's soccer season is the 34th season of men's college soccer in the Atlantic 10 Conference. The season was scheduled to begin on August 29, 2020 and conclude on November 6, 2020, but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The season is scheduled to begin on February 3, 2021 and conclude on April 11, 2021.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2022–23 VCU Rams men's basketball team</span> American college basketball season

The 2022–23 VCU Rams men's basketball team represented Virginia Commonwealth University during the 2022–23 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. They were led by sixth-year head coach is Mike Rhoades and played their home games at the Siegel Center in Richmond, Virginia as a member of the Atlantic 10 Conference. They finished the season 27–8, 15–3 in A-10 play to win the regular season championship. They defeated Davidson, Saint Louis, and Dayton to win the A-10 tournament championship, their first since 2015. As a result, they received the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament as the No. 12 seed in the West region. There they lost to Saint Mary's in the first round.
