Acceleration in Assen is the sixth and last weekend of Acceleration 2014, a multi-day festival combining top class car and bike racing with live music and other entertainment. [1] [2] The festival is organised by the International Sport Racing Association (ISRA), based in the Netherlands, and will be held six times in 2014, starting 25–27 April in Portimao, Portugal and ending 17–19 October in Assen, Netherlands. The various racing competitions are Formula Acceleration 1 (FA1), [3] the MW-V6 Pickup Series, [4] the Legend SuperCup (LSC), [5] the European Stock 1000 Series (ACC 1000) [6] and the European Stock 600 Series (ACC 600). [6] However, for this round the ACC 600 and 1000 classes were replaced by the OW Cup, whose drivers were not eligible to score points for the Acceleration championship. As for the other classes, every driver entering Acceleration 2014 is eligible for points in the drivers' championship as well as the nations' championship. As for music and entertainment, David Hasselhoff is the host of "Celebrate the 80's and the 90's with The Hoff", a dance party featuring 2 Unlimited, Haddaway, and others. Saturday evenings are filled with performances of international DJs. [7]
Nathanaël Berthon drove for China. Italy entered two cars, for Gian Maria Gabbiani and Sergio Campana, who was replaced by Dutchman Jeroen Mul at Team Portugal. The Swede Kevin Kleveros took over from Picho Toledano and Craig Dolby drove for Sweden instead of Felix Rosenqvist. The Netherlands also entered a second car, for Bas Schouten, who previously entered MW-V6. Finally, United Kingdom entered this race with Dani Clos at the wheel.

Andrej Pavicevic is an Australian race driver. He started racing in the NSW Street Sedan Championship in 1994 in a Suzuki Swift GTi. From there he moved to the Australian Production Car Championship in 1995 have major success winning 3 class championships in 1995, 1996 and 1997 and he raced a Ford Mondeo in the 1997 Bathurst 1000 race. In 1998 his major sponsor Zepter entered him in the British Formula 3 Championship even though he had next to no open wheel Formula racing experience. As expected he had a tough year in 1998, starting 14 races and scored 19 points finishing 14th for the year and also entered the 1998 Masters of Formula 3 event at Zandvoort. He then graduated to the FIA International Formula 3000 Championship in 1999 where he completed the whole season, qualifying for only 4 events. In 2000 he was picked up by Durango for the Italian Formula 3000 Championship. He had a pole position in the season opener, but failed to score any points. The best finish he had was at the Non Championship race at Assen. After 3 years in Europe he returned to Australia. On his return he started Drag Racing with some success. He was diagnosed with leukaemia, and after a long battle, beat the disease. He now lives in Sydney, preparing and racing Drag Cars from his Croydon Racing Developments workshop.
Acceleration 2014 was a multi-day festival combining top class car and bike racing with live music and other entertainment. The festival was organised by the International Sport Racing Association (ISRA), based in the Netherlands, and was held six times in 2014, starting 25–27 April in Portimao, Portugal and ending 17–19 October in Assen, Netherlands. The various racing competitions were Formula Acceleration 1 (FA1), the MW-V6 Pickup Series, the Legend SuperCup (LSC), the European Stock 1000 Series and the European Stock 600 Series. Competing drivers in one or more classes each drove a vehicle representing his or her country of origin.
The 2014 Formula Acceleration 1 season was a formula racing series that started over 25–27 April in Portimao, Portugal and ended over 17–19 October at the TT Circuit Assen, Netherlands. The series featured 12 teams that represented the nations in which they were founded. Their drivers did not have that nationality per sé, but the car represented the flag. This concept was similar to the one used in the former A1 Grand Prix series, whose vehicles were used in FA1.
