The 2014 Copa EuroAmericana was the second edition of the Copa EuroAmericana, a men's football friendly tournament created by DirecTV. This edition took place in various locations in the Americas from 20 July to 2 August 2014. [1] Thirteen teams from CONMEBOL, CONCACAF and UEFA participated in the tournament. [2] [3] Europe, represented by the UEFA teams (Atlético Madrid, Fiorentina, Monaco and Valencia), won the cup by a 5–4 score, beating the Americas, represented by the CONCACAF and CONMEBOL teams (Alianza Lima, Atlético Nacional, América, Estudiantes, Junior, Palmeiras, San Jose Earthquakes, Universidad Católica and Universitario).
Each match was played for 90 minutes. In case of a draw after regulation, the winner was determined via a penalty shoot-out. The confederation of the winning team for each match was awarded a point, and the confederation with the most points at the end of the tournament was crowned champions.

The First Stage of the 2009 Copa Santander Libertadores ran from January 27 to February 5.

The 1968 Copa Libertadores finals was the final two-legged tie to determine the 1968 Copa Libertadores champion. It was contested by Argentine club Estudiantes de La Plata and Brazilian club Palmeiras. The first leg of the tie was played on 2 May at Estudiantes' home field, with the second leg played on 7 May at Palmeiras'. Estudiantes and Palmeiras played in their 1st and 2nd Copa Libertadores finals, respectively. Palmeiras last appearance was in 1961, in which they were beaten by defending champions Peñarol. Estudiantes was appearing in their first ever final ever.

This edition took place in various locations across South America from 20 July to 4 August 2013. Eleven teams from both CONMEBOL and UEFA participated in the tournament. Europe, represented by Atlético Madrid, Porto and Sevilla, won the cup by a 6–2 score, beating South America, represented by Atlético Nacional, Barcelona, Deportivo Anzoátegui, Estudiantes, Millonarios, Nacional, Sporting Cristal and Universidad Católica.
