The 2014 Red Bull Global RallyCross Championship was the fourth season of the Global RallyCross Championship. Reigning champion Toomas Heikkinen only competed at the X Games event, as he went to the World Rallycross Championship. [1]
In July, it was announced that a second event would be held at the Port of Los Angeles event, to replace an event in Detroit which was cancelled. [2]

Rallycross is a form of sprint style motorsport, held on a closed mixed-surface racing circuit, with modified production or specially built touring cars. It is mainly popular in the Nordic countries, the Netherlands, Belgium, France and Great Britain. An inexpensive, entry level type of rallycross is the Swedish folkrace or its Norwegian counterpart, the so-called bilcross. The folkrace is most popular in Finland where it was founded back in the late 1960s. In Europe, rallycross can also refer to racing 1:8 scale off-road radio-controlled buggies.

Patrik Sandell is a rally driver from Sweden. Sandell won the Swedish Junior Championship in 2004 and the Swedish Group N3 Championship in 2005. In 2006, he won the Junior World Rally Championship (JWRC) title driving for Renault. In 2008, Sandell contested both the JWRC and the Production World Rally Championship (PWRC).

Joni Wiman is a rallycross driver from Finland. Wiman won the 2014 Global RallyCross Championship. In 2013 he won the Global RallyCross lites championship. Wiman won gold at the X Games Los Angeles 2013 in Rallycross Lites. After the 2016 Global RallyCross Championship, in 2017, Wiman competed in the Nordic RX Academy on Ice.
The 2015 Red Bull Global RallyCross Championship was the fifth season of the Global RallyCross Championship. Joni Wiman was the reigning champion in the Supercars class and drove for the same team, Olsbergs MSE. 2014 GRC Lites runner-up Sebastian Eriksson stepped up to the GRC.

Scott Speed was the reigning Supercars champion and Oliver Eriksson was the reigning GRC Lites champion. The schedule consisted of twelve rounds at eight different venues. The season started at Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park on May 21 and it concluded at the Port of Los Angeles on October 9.
Vasser Sullivan is an American organization involved in motorsports. It was founded in 2010 by James “Sulli” Sullivan as SH Racing to compete in motocross. In 2011, the team partnered with KV Racing Technology to form KVSH Racing. Following a two-year hiatus after the demise of KV Racing Technology, Sullivan and former KV co-owner Jimmy Vasser announced that they had formed Vasser Sullivan. The organization has competed in racing series including: the Red Bull Global Rallycross Series under the SH Rallycross/DRR banner, the IndyCar Series where it has competed as co-entrants with KV as well as with Dale Coyne Racing, and the IMSA SportsCar Championship where it formerly partnered with Aim Autosport as Aim Vasser Sullivan before later competing independently.

Mitchell DeJong is an American professional racing driver, stunt driver and Esports athlete competing in multiple disciplines, including rallycross, ice racing, road course, off-road, dirt, and oval track racing. He also travels the world as an Esports champion and competitor of invite-only events held by top manufacturers such as BMW and Porsche. deJong is known for his dominant road course racing style in the eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing series, the Porsche Esports Supercup, and iRacing F1 Championship. deJong holds world records and championship titles in multiple disciplines, including X-Games. He was invited by Porsche to participate in their young driver academy and in 2020 he became a Porsche Factory Works Driver.
