The 2015–16 Celtic da Praia season were in the island division of football (soccer). The club finished 6th after ADESBA and ahead of Travadores. [1] Also Académica and ADESBA had the same 41 points with Celtic, Celtic had a 14-point difference than Travadores

Associação Desportiva do Bairro Craveiro Lopes is a multisport club that had played in the Santiago Island South Zone League in Cape Verde. It is based in the capital city of Praia in the island of Santiago and plays in the stadium with a capacity of 8,000 The club never won a championship title, they have two cup titles. Its sports include football (soccer), basketball, futsal, similar to arena football and volleyball. Its current president Carlos Sena Teixeira and its manager is Daniel Cardoso who came in February 2017. Its nickname is canarinha which is Portuguese for the little canary.

CD Travadores association football club

Clube Desportivo Travadores is a football club in the Santiago South Premier Division in Cape Verde and are one of the unrelegated clubs of the Premier Division. It is based in the capital city of Praia, on the island of Santiago, and plays in a stadium with a capacity of 8,000. It is affiliated with S.L. Benfica and was the first Benfica affiliate in Cape Verde and the western part of West Africa. Its nicknames are indios and águias

The club also had 7 wins and draws and 8 losses, one position higher than last season and scored 26 goals, more than last season. Two other clubs shared 26 goals, Celtic and ADESBA, the three were behind Garridos and ahead of Eugênio Lima with 19.

Santiago Island League (South)

The 2015-16 season would almost have a good start and reached number one at week 3 only for a week. Their season's first match was on November 15 [2] and defeated Vitória in a scoreless draw. A two match winning streak was followed in which Celtic defeated Sporting Praia where they scored the season's first goal and Os Garridos 1-3. Celtic suffered a two match losing streak, the first one had no goal scored in a match with Eugénio Lima, Celtic's position plunged to 5th. On January 8, Celtic's first match of 2016 featured ADESBA, it ended in a scoreless draw and was placed 6th which would dominate the rest of the season with some exceptions. A week later, Celtic defeated Varanda and scored their first goals of the year and became 5th. Celtic had a two match loss to Desportivo and Académica, both without goals, they put back Celtic into 6th. On February 5, the club defeated Delta and scored 0-3 in a match with a team that later became weak. Celtic lost to Boavista 1-3, a week later, they defeated Vitória in the second part. A goal draw was made with Sporting Praia on February 27. Celtic went on a five match winning streak and defeated Os Garridos on March 4, Eugénio Lima on March 11, Travadores on March 27, ADESBA on April 2 and Varanda on April 9 where the club was put up a position to 5th. Celtic was back to 6th place after a draw was made with Desportivo Praia with a goal on April 15, Celtic's only home draw. Celtic's final loss was on April 23, they scored nothing in a match with Académica. Celtic's two remaining matches were victorious as Celtic defeated Delta 3-1, a club that was to be kicked out of the Premier Division and into the Second in the following season and Boavista 3-0 on May 7 and the club finished 6th.

The 2015–16 Santiago Island League (South) season was the competition of the second and third tier football in the southern part of the island of Santiago, Cape Verde. Its started on 13 November 2014 and finished on 8 May 2016. The tournament was organized by the Santiago South Regional Football Association. All the matches were played at Estádio da Várzea. Desportivo won the first and only title for the South Zone and participated in the 2016 Cape Verdean Football Championships and finished with 47 points, Desportivo's last title win for Santiago was in 1990 and totals three overall.

Celtic's 38 points and 11 wins became club record. These surpassed on March 3, this became second to Celtic's current 39 point total and its 12 wins in the 2017-18 season and may or will have a higher number in late March 2018.

Celtic also had 6 home wins out of 11, scored 15 goals at home and 11 away.
