The 2015–16 GDRC Delta season were in the island division of football (soccer). After spending just a season after being champions of the Second Division last season, the club finished last place, together with Varanda were relegated. [1] and would participate in the Second Division next season. It was a season that Delta did not had any single win, only four points Delta had, all draws.

The club scored 15 goals which was the third least in the region. On the opposites, Delta conceded 60 goals, the worst in the region.

Santiago Island League (South)

The 2015-16 season started and finished last place throughout the season. [1] Delta qualified alongside Eugênio Lima into the Premier Division which extended to 22 matches as the division would contain two additional teams with a total of twelve.

The 2015–16 Santiago Island League (South) season was the competition of the second and third tier football in the southern part of the island of Santiago, Cape Verde. Its started on 13 November 2014 and finished on 8 May 2016. The tournament was organized by the Santiago South Regional Football Association. All the matches were played at Estádio da Várzea. Desportivo won the first and only title for the South Zone and participated in the 2016 Cape Verdean Football Championships and finished with 47 points, Desportivo's last title win for Santiago was in 1990 and totals three overall.

Santiago South Cup

Delta took part in the 2015-16 regional cup, unlike their unsuccessful year at the championships. Delta did successful at the cup competitions. At the quarterfinals, they faced Académica da Praia, instead of a planned win for Académica, it would have the match end in a goal draw, Delta won in the penalty shootout 1-3 and advanced straight up to the finals which Delta never done before. It was to be played in May 2016, the cup final delayed and overall cup season went into the start of 2017 which became the only time that a cup season lasted over a year and a first that another cup season took place within the season, that never occurred in any competition in Cape Verde. Not often at the national level has ever done before, a cup season lasting more than a year. In a part of Africa, it did to the Santomean soccer competitions in the 2009-10 season which lasted for more than a year and.the São Vicente Super Cup which was rescheduled for a year The cup final took place on April 15, 2017 and featured Boavista Praia. The match ended in a goal draw which led into a penalty shootout, Delta won the title and became the recent first time of any competition in the south of Santiago.

Delta was to play into the rescheduled 2015-16 regional super cup, it was not held.
