The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) is a collegiate athletic conference whose full members are historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) in the Southeastern and the Mid-Atlantic United States. It participates in the National Collegiate Athletic Association's (NCAA) Division I, and in football, in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS).
The Southland Conference, abbreviated as SLC, is a collegiate athletic conference which operates in the South Central United States. It participates in the NCAA's Division I for all sports; for football, it participates in the Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS). The Southland sponsors 18 sports, 10 for women and eight for men, and is governed by a presidential Board of Directors and an Advisory Council of athletic and academic administrators. The North Carolina A&T Aggies are the athletic teams that represent North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University in Greensboro, North Carolina, United States. Amber Jackson is an African-American, former collegiate All-American and retired professional softball player and former college softball head coach. She played for three years with the Bethune–Cookman Wildcats, from 2003 to 2005, before transferring to the Maryland Terrapins for the 2007 season. She is the season and career leader in numerous offense categories for both institutions, and is the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference career leader in hits, triples and runs in three seasons.
The 2014 NCAA Division I softball tournament was held from May 15 through June 5, 2014 as the final part of the 2014 NCAA Division I softball season. The 64 NCAA Division I college softball teams were selected out of an eligible 293 teams on May 11, 2014. 32 teams were awarded an automatic bid as champions of their conference, and 32 teams were selected at-large by the NCAA Division I Softball Selection Committee. The tournament culminated with eight teams playing in the 2014 Women's College World Series at ASA Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City.
The 2015 Conference USA (C-USA) softball tournament was held at Felsberg Field at FIU Softball Field in Miami, Florida, from May 7 through May 9, 2015. The tournament winner will earn the Conference USA automatic bid to the 2015 NCAA Division I softball tournament. All games will be televised. The quarterfinals and semifinals will be shown on the C-USA Digital Network while the championship will be broadcast on CBS Sports Network. Ben Holden and Tammy Blackburn will call the championship.
The 2015 Atlantic 10 Conference Softball tournament will be held at Sortino Field on the campus of the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, Massachusetts from May 6 through May 9, 2015. The tournament winner will earn the Atlantic 10 Conference's automatic bid to the 2015 NCAA Division I Softball Tournament. All games will be streamed online on the A-10 Network.
The 2015 Atlantic Sun Conference Softball tournament was held at FGCU Softball Complex on the campus of the Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, Florida from May 6 through May 9, 2015. The tournament winner, USC Upstate, defeated Lipscomb in the Championship final 9-1 to earn the Atlantic Sun Conference's automatic bid to the 2015 NCAA Division I Softball Tournament. All games were streamed online on ESPN3.

The 2015 Big South Conference Softball tournament was held at Amanda Littlejohn Stadium in Buies Creek, North Carolina from May 7 through May 10, 2015. The tournament winner, Longwood, earned the Big South Conference's automatic bid to the 2015 NCAA Division I Softball Tournament, where they defeated Virginia Tech but were eliminated by Tennessee and Utah.
The 2009 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Baseball Tournament began on May 14 and ended on May 17, 2009 at Jackie Robinson Ballpark, on the campus of Bethune-Cookman University in Daytona Beach, Florida. It was a six-team double elimination tournament. Bethune-Cookman won the tournament, as they have done each year but one since the tournament began in 1999. The Wildcats claimed the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference's automatic bid to the 2009 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament.
The 2021 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Baseball Tournament began on May 20 and ended on May 22, 2021 at Marty L. Miller Field on the campus of Norfolk State University in Norfolk, Virginia. It was a six-team double elimination tournament. Norfolk State won the tournament for the first time and claimed the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference's automatic bid to the 2021 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. Departing member Bethune-Cookman, which opted out of baseball competition for 2021, had claimed sixteen of the prior twenty-one tournament championships, with North Carolina A&T earning the 2005 and 2018 titles, Florida A&M winning in 2015 and 2019, and Savannah State in 2013.
