The 2015 Women's World Floorball Championships is the tenth World Championships in women's floorball. The tournament took place in Tampere in Finland in December 2015. Sixteen teams participated. [1]

Contents

Sweden won the tournament defeating Finland, 5-4, in the final game following a penalty shootout. [2]

Qualification

All teams, apart from the host country (Finland), will have to qualify for the Final Round via the qualifications, and there will be a total of 5 qualification groups - one in the Americas, one in Asia-Oceania and three in Europe. For Sweden, this will be the first time that they have ever had to participate in any qualification event in any age group. France and New Zealand will be participating in the women's event for the first-ever time, while Great Britain are making a return after a 14-year absence.

Finland Men's National Floorball Team is the national floorball team of Finland. The national team was founded in 1985 and they played their first official game against Sweden in 1985. Finland has won four World Championships and 1 European Championships (1995). Finland has appeared in every World and European Championships tournament organised by the IFF and is the only team with Sweden to have won such a tournament.

The 2010 Men's World Floorball Championships Qualifying rounds were the first such qualifiers for world championships in men's floorball. This also was the first time that the world championships were divided into two separate divisions, although all games were played at the same dates in Borlänge. Sweden won the bronze medals defeating Norway, 5-1, in the bronze medal game.

The 2001 Women's World Floorball Championships was the third world championship in women's floorball. The games were played in Riga, Latvia 20–27 May 2001. Finland ended up as champions, thus they became the first team to win their second title. In the final-game Finland defeated Sweden, 2-0.

The 2003 Women's World Floorball Championships was the fourth world championship in women's floorball. The games were played in Bern, Gümligen and Wünnewil in Switzerland 17–24 May 2003. Sweden won the tournament, their second title defeating Switzerland, 8-1, in the final-game.

The qualifying for the 2015 Women's World Floorball Championships was played in January and February 2015. A total of 23 teams competed for fifteen spots. The final tournament will be organized by Finland in December 2015.

The 2017 Women's World Floorball Championships was the 11th World Championships in women's floorball. The tournament took place in Bratislava in Slovakia between 1–9 December 2017. Sixteen teams participated and the competition was won by Sweden.

The 2020 Men's World Floorball Championships was the 13th World Championships in men's floorball. The tournament took place in Helsinki, Finland, during 3–11 December 2021. The tournament was originally intended to be played between 4–12 December 2020, but on 7 December 2020, it was announced it would be rescheduled one year into the future because of to the Coronavirus pandemic.

The 2022 Men's World Floorball Championships was the 14th World Championships in men's floorball. The tournament was played in Zürich and Winterthur, Switzerland, and took place during 5–13 November, 2022.
