It will be in exhibition play against Dawson College on September 25 at 7 p.m. The regular season began on the road at New Hampshire on October 3. UConn's regular season home opener was October 16 against the Syracuse Orange women's ice hockey program at 7 p.m.

The St. Cloud State Huskies women's ice hockey team is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I college ice hockey That represents St. Cloud State University. The Huskies are a member of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association.They play at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center in St. Cloud Minnesota.

The Boston College Eagles women's ice hockey team represent Boston College in the NCAA and participate in Hockey East. The Eagles are coached by former Olympic gold medallist Katie King-Crowley and play their home games at Conte Forum.

Geneviève Lacasse Canadian ice hockey player

Geneviève Lacasse is a Canadian ice hockey goaltender currently playing for the Canadiennes de Montreal in the Canadian Women's Hockey League. She is also a member of the Canada women's national ice hockey team with whom she has won gold medals at both the Olympic Games and IIHF World Championships. In the Canadian Women's Hockey League, she is a two-time Clarkson Cup winner.

The Connecticut Huskies women's ice hockey program represented the University of Connecticut Huskies during the 2013–14 NCAA Division I women's ice hockey season. Huskies alum Jessica Lutz competed for Switzerland at the 2014 Sochi Winter Games, earning a bronze medal.

The 2014-15 Golden Gophers program represented the University of Minnesota during the 2014-15 NCAA Division I women's ice hockey season. The program advanced to the Frozen Four championship game for the fourth consecutive year and defeated the Harvard Crimson by a 4–1 tally in the title game.

The Northeastern Huskies represented Northeastern University in the Women's Hockey East Association during the 2014–15 NCAA Division I women's ice hockey season. The Huskies advanced as far as the WHEA Semifinal game before falling to nationally ranked Boston University.

The Boston University Terriers represented Boston University in Women's Hockey East Association during the 2015–16 NCAA Division I women's ice hockey season. The Terriers, defending WHEA Champions, finished 23-14-2 overall, and 17-5-2 in WHEA play.

The Maine Black Bears represented University of Maine in Women's Hockey East Association during the 2015–16 NCAA Division I women's ice hockey season.

The Northeastern Huskies represented Northeastern University in the Women's Hockey East Association during the 2015–16 NCAA Division I women's ice hockey season. The squad was captained by Patty Kazmaier Award winner Kendall Coyne.
