The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) is the governing body of association football, beach soccer, and futsal in most countries and territories in Asia. The AFC was formed in 1954. It has 47 members. The Asian Ladies Football Confederation (ALFC) was the section of AFC that managed women's association football in Asia. It was created by former AFC president Mohammed Bin Hammam as the AFC's plan for a continent-wide programme to raise the standards of Asian football. The AFC Challenge Cup was created for teams to experience playing in a continental competition, with the possibility to win an AFC trophy and potentially discover new talents.

The Northern Mariana Islands national football team represents the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands in international men's football. The team is controlled by the governing body for football in the Northern Mariana Islands, the Northern Mariana Islands Football Association, which is a member of the East Asian Football Federation (EAFF) and since December 2020 a full member of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). The association is not a member of the world governing body FIFA, although it had applied for membership, and so while the national team is eligible to enter AFC and EAFF-run competitions, they are currently ineligible for global competitions such as the FIFA World Cup. As such, they do not have an official FIFA ranking. However, the team have been consistently ranked as one of the worst teams in the world on the Elo ratings and were in fact, in July 2016 rated as the worst men's senior international team in the world in a ratings system that also includes a number of other non-FIFA teams.

The sport of football in Macau is run by the Associação de Futebol de Macau. The association administers the national football team as well as the national league. The national team has never qualified for the AFC Asian Cup or EAFF East Asian Championship. The team qualified for the 2006 AFC Challenge Cup, where they got one draw and two losses.

This article lists the squads for the 2014 AFC Women's Asian Cup, the 18th edition of the AFC Women's Asian Cup. The tournament is a quadrennial women's international football tournament for national teams in Asia organised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), and was held in Vietnam from 14 to 25 May 2014. In the tournament there were involved eight national teams. Each national team registered a final squad of 23 players, with the option of submitting a preliminary squad of 18–50 players. Following an amendment to regulations, the AFC permitted nations to register 25 players for the final squad.

The AFC Solidarity Cup was an international football competition for Asian Football Confederation (AFC) member countries who were out of the continental qualifiers at early stage. The tournament was created following the termination of the AFC Challenge Cup.

The 2016 AFC Solidarity Cup was the inaugural and only edition of the AFC Solidarity Cup, an international football tournament. It took place between 2–15 November 2016 in Malaysia.

The 2023 AFC Asian Cup qualification was the qualification process organized by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) to determine the participating teams for the 2023 AFC Asian Cup, the 18th edition of the international men's football championship of Asia.

Soldadu Mohammad Tarmizi bin Haji Mat Johari is a Bruneian footballer who last played for MS ABDB and the Brunei national team as a goalkeeper. He had a brief spell with professional club Brunei DPMM FC in 2014. He is tied with Paraguay's Pedro Benítez as the shortest goalkeeper to have ever appeared for an international football match.

This article lists the squads for the 2018 AFC Women's Asian Cup, the 19th edition of the AFC Women's Asian Cup. The tournament is a quadrennial women's international football tournament for national teams in Asia organised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), and was held in Jordan from 6 to 20 April 2018. In the tournament there were involved eight national teams. Each national team registered a final squad of 23 players, with the option of submitting a preliminary squad of 18–50 players. On 29 March 2018, the AFC announced the squads for teams of both the groups.

The 2022 AFC U-23 Asian Cup was an under-23 international football tournament organised by the Asian Football Confederation, taking place in Uzbekistan between 1–19 June 2022. The sixteen national teams involved in the tournament were required to register a squad of a minimum of 18 and a maximum of 23 players, including at least three goalkeepers. Only players in these squads were eligible to take part in the competition. The tournament exclusively requires players to be born on or after 1 January 1999 to be eligible.
