The 2016 Kansas State Wildcats baseball team represented Kansas State University during the 2016 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Wildcats played their home games at Tointon Family Stadium as a member of the Big 12 Conference. They were led by head coach Brad Hill, in his 13th season at Kansas State.
The 2015 Kansas State Wildcats baseball team notched a 27–30 (10–14) record and finished sixth in the Big 12 Conference standings. [2] The Wildcats reached the 2015 Big 12 Conference baseball tournament championship game, where they were eliminated in the second round. [3] Kansas State did not receive an at-large bid to the 2015 NCAA Division I baseball tournament. [2]

The Big 12 Conference is a college athletic conference headquartered in Irving, Texas. It consists of 16 full-member universities in the states of Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Kansas, Ohio, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah, and West Virginia.
The College World Series (CWS), officially the NCAA Men's College World Series (MCWS), is a baseball tournament held each June in Omaha, Nebraska. The MCWS is the culmination of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I Baseball Championship tournament—featuring 64 teams in the first round—which determines the NCAA Division I college baseball champion. The eight participating teams are split into two, four-team, double-elimination brackets, with the winners of each bracket playing in a best-of-three championship series.
The Kansas State Wildcats are the intercollegiate athletic teams that represent Kansas State University. The official color of the teams is Royal Purple; white and silver are generally used as complementary colors.
The North Dakota State Bison are the athletic teams of North Dakota State University (NDSU), which is located in the city of Fargo, North Dakota. The teams are often called the "Thundering Herd". The current logo is a bison.
The TCU Horned Frogs baseball team represents Texas Christian University in NCAA Division I baseball. The Frogs have competed in the Big 12 Conference since 2013 and previously competed in the Mountain West, Conference USA, Western Athletic Conference and Southwest Conference. Since February 2003, the Horned Frogs have played their home games at Lupton Stadium, located on the TCU campus in Fort Worth, Texas. The Frogs are led by head coach Kirk Saarloos.

Brad L. Hill is an American baseball coach and former player, who is the head baseball coach of the Emporia State Hornets. He played college baseball at Emporia State from 1982 to 1985. He then served as the head coach of the Hutchinson Blue Dragons (1988–1990), Central Missouri State Mules (1995–2003) and the Kansas State Wildcats (2004–2018). Under him, the Wildcats have appeared in six consecutive Big 12 baseball tournaments (2007–2012). His teams have also qualified for three NCAA Division I Baseball Championships. Hill was the coach at Central Missouri State from 1995 to 2003. He won a Division II National Championship there in 2003, and was National Runner-up in 2001.
Oklahoma State Cowboys baseball is the NCAA Division I varsity intercollegiate baseball team of Oklahoma State University, based in Stillwater, Oklahoma, United States. The team competes in the Big 12 Conference. The Cowboys' current head coach is Josh Holliday.
The 1993 NCAA Division I baseball tournament was played at the end of the 1993 NCAA Division I baseball season to determine the national champion of college baseball. The tournament concluded with eight teams competing in the College World Series, a double-elimination tournament in its forty seventh year. Eight regional competitions were held to determine the participants in the final event. Each region was composed of six teams, resulting in 48 teams participating in the tournament at the conclusion of their regular season, and in some cases, after a conference tournament. The forty-seventh tournament's champion was LSU, coached by Skip Bertman. The Most Outstanding Player was Todd Walker of LSU.

The head coach was Bruce Weber, who was in his first year at the helm of the Wildcats. The team played its home games in Bramlage Coliseum in Manhattan, Kansas, its home court since 1988. Kansas State was a member of the Big 12 Conference. They finished the conference season with record of 14–4 to claim a share of Big 12 regular season title with Kansas. In the Big 12 tournament they beat Texas and Oklahoma State before losing to Kansas in the championship game. The season ended with a loss to La Salle in the first round of the 2013 NCAA tournament. The Wildcats finished the season with a 27–8 record.

Kansas State was a member of the Big 12 Conference. They finished the season 20–13, 10–8 in Big 12 play to finish in fifth place. They lost in the quarterfinals of the Big 12 tournament to Iowa State. They received an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament where they lost in the second round to Kentucky.

The Wildcats, led by third-year head coach Jeff Mittie, played their home games at Bramlage Coliseum in Manhattan, Kansas and were members of the Big 12 Conference. They finished the season 23–11, 11–7 in Big 12 play to finish in fourth place. They advanced to the semifinals of the Big 12 women's tournament, where they lost to Baylor. They received an at-large bid to the NCAA women's tournament, where they defeated Drake in the first round before losing to Stanford in the second round.
