The Markham Thunder was a professional women's ice hockey team in the Canadian Women's Hockey League (CWHL). From 1998 through 2017, the franchise was known as the Brampton Thunder and Brampton Canadettes-Thunder before relocating from Brampton, Ontario, to Markham, Ontario, for the 2017–18 season. The CWHL ceased operations in 2019 and no further statements or actions were taken with the franchise.

The Mercyhurst Lakers women's ice hockey team is a college ice hockey program representing Mercyhurst University in NCAA Division I competition as a member of the Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) conference. They play in Erie, Pennsylvania at the Mercyhurst Ice Center, located on the Mercyhurst campus.
The Dartmouth Big Green women's ice hockey program represents Dartmouth College. In 2001, Dartmouth participated in the inaugural NCAA Championship tournament. Since then, they have appeared in the "Frozen Four", the semifinals of the NCAA hockey tournament, three additional times.
The RPI Engineers women's ice hockey team are a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I women's college ice hockey program that represents Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI). The Engineers are a member of the ECAC Hockey (ECACHL) conference. They play at the Houston Field House in Troy, New York.
Laura Rachel Stacey is a Canadian professional ice hockey player for PWHL Montreal, and a member of Canada women's national ice hockey team. She previously played with the Markham Thunder and the Dartmouth Big Green and competed internationally with the Canadian under-18 and under-22 teams. She won a silver medal with Team Canada at the 2018 Winter Olympics and a gold medal at the 2022 Winter Olympics.
Hannah Brandt is an American professional ice hockey centre for PWHL Boston of the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL). She was named to the United States women's national ice hockey team, which represented the United States at the 2012 IIHF Women's World Championship. She won the 2012 Minnesota Ms. Hockey Award. She debuted for the U.S. national women's team at the 2014 4 Nations Cup in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada.
Ann-Renée Desbiens is a Canadian ice hockey goaltender for PWHL Montreal and member of the Canada women's national ice hockey team.
The Connecticut Whale were a professional ice hockey team based in the Premier Hockey Federation (PHF). They played in Simsbury, Connecticut at the International Skating Center of Connecticut. The team was established in 2015 as one of the four charter franchises of the National Women's Hockey League (NWHL), which became the PHF in 2021. Their name and colors paid homage to the Hartford Whalers, a former NHL and WHA franchise based in Connecticut. The team folded along with the PHF in 2023 as part of the creation of a new, unified women's league, the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL).
Denisa Křížová is a Czech ice hockey player for PWHL Minnesota of the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL) and a member of the Czech Republic women's national ice hockey team.
The Dartmouth Big Green represented Dartmouth College in ECAC women's ice hockey during the 2014–15 NCAA Division I women's ice hockey season. The Big Green were defeated by powerhouse Clarkson in the ECAC quarterfinals.

Kali Dora Flanagan is an American professional ice hockey player for PWHL Toronto of the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL) and is a member of the United States women's national ice hockey team. She also serves as an assistant coach for the Northern Cyclones, the first female coach in USPHL history.
The Dartmouth Big Green represented Dartmouth College in ECAC women's ice hockey during the 2015–16 NCAA Division I women's ice hockey season. Their tenth place ECAC finish broke a five-year streak of the Big Green making it to post-season play.

Cayla Marie Barnes is an American ice hockey player for Montreal of the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL) and the United States women's national ice hockey team. She was drafted fifth overall by Montreal in the 2024 PWHL draft. She played college ice hockey at Boston College and Ohio State.
Sarah Anne Fillier is a Canadian ice hockey player. She most recently played college ice hockey at Princeton University. She was selected first overall by PWHL New York in the 2024 PWHL draft.

The Crusaders are the newest member of the Hockey East Association (HEA). They play at the Hart Center in Worcester, Massachusetts.
Taylor Cassidy Woods is a Canadian professional ice hockey player and strongwoman, currently playing in the Premier Hockey Federation (PHF) with the Toronto Six. A defenceman who has also played as a two-way forward, she is both a Clarkson Cup champion and an Isobel Cup champion.
Ella Shelton is a Canadian professional ice hockey player and alternate captain for PWHL New York of the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL), and member of Canada women's national ice hockey team. She was drafted fourth overall in the 2023 PWHL Draft by New York.
