China Fortune 2017 Jingjinji Champions Cup - Beijing (Chinese :华夏幸福2017京津冀冠军杯(北京站)) was the second edition of Jingjinji Champions Cup. The tournament was hosted by Beijing Sinobo Guoan in Beijing. [2] Hebei China Fortune defended the title by beating invited team Tianjin Quanjian 7–0 in the final. [3]

Chinese language family of languages

Chinese is a group of related, but in many cases not mutually intelligible, language varieties, forming the Sinitic branch of the Sino-Tibetan language family. Chinese is spoken by the Han majority and many minority ethnic groups in China. About 1.2 billion people speak some form of Chinese as their first language.

The Jingjinji Champions Cup is a Chinese regional association football competition held since 2016. The tournament is originated by three clubs from Jingjinji area including Beijing Guoan (Jing), Tianjin Teda (Jin) and Hebei China Fortune (Ji), and hosted by the three clubs alternately. Henan Jianye was invited to the first edition of the tournament.

Beijing Sinobo Guoan F.C. association football club

Beijing Sinobo Guoan F.C. is a professional Chinese football club that currently participates in the Chinese Super League under licence from the Chinese Football Association (CFA). The team is based in the Chaoyang District in Beijing and their home stadium is the Workers' Stadium with a seating capacity of 66,161. Their shareholders are the real estate company Sinobo Group (64%) and CITIC Limited (36%) of CITIC Group, a state-owned enterprise of China. Beijing Guoan F.C. was founded as a professional team by CITIC Guoan Group, which was a subsidiary of CITIC Group until 2014.

Hebei China Fortune F.C. association football club

Hebei China Fortune Football Club is a professional Chinese football club that participates in the Chinese Super League division under licence from the Chinese Football Association (CFA). The team is based in Langfang, Hebei and their home stadium is the Langfang Stadium that has a seating capacity of 30,000. Their current owners are real estate developers China Fortune Land Development who took over the club on January 27, 2015.

Competition format

The competition took the format of a regular knock-out competition. The winners of each of the two matches on the first day competed against each other for the Jingjinji Champions Cup, whilst the two losing sides played in a third-place match. If a match was level after normal time then a penalty shoot-out would be played to decide who advanced.
