The girls' singles tournament of the 2018 Badminton Asia Junior Championships was held from July 18 to 22. [1] The girls' singles champion of the last edition was Han Yue from China. [2] The silver medallist in the last edition, Phittayaporn Chaiwan top the seedings this year. China has placed 3 girls (Wang Zhiyi, Zhou Meng, and Wei Yaxin) to fill out the remainder of the top 4 seeded positions. [3]

Phittayaporn Chaiwan Badminton player

Phittayaporn Chaiwan is a Thai badminton player. Formerly known as Pattarasuda Chaiwan, she has shown her talent as a badminton player in the junior event tournmanent. She changed her name after visiting a temple for prayers for a brighter career in badminton. She was crowned champion at the Grand Prix junior tournament in 2017 India and 2018 German, also occupied the girls' singles number 1 in the BWF World Junior Ranking.

The girls' singles tournament of the 2019 Badminton Asia Junior Championships will be held from 24 to 28 July. Wang Zhiyi from China clinched this title in the last edition.

Riko Gunji is a Japanese badminton player.

Zhou Meng is a Chinese badminton player. Born in Dongping, Anhua, in Yiyang City, Zhou entered the Anhua Sports School in 2005, and was selected to join the Hunan Provincial team in 2010. She won the women's singles National Championships title at the age of 16 in 2017.
