The 2018 BRD Bucharest Open was a tennis tournament played on outdoor clay courts. It was the fifth edition of the tournament and part of the International category of the 2018 WTA Tour. It was held from 16 to 22 July 2018 at the Arenele BNR in Bucharest, Romania.

This was the first edition of the tournament.

Julia Görges was the defending champion, but chose to compete in Luxembourg instead.

Elina Svitolina was the two-time defending champion, but lost in the second round to Victoria Azarenka.

Aryna Sabalenka defeated Ashleigh Barty in the final, 6–0, 3–6, 6–4, to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2021 Madrid Open. It was Sabalenka's 10th career WTA Tour singles title and her first title on clay.
